Reviews For Absolucion

The Romanians got the surprise of their existence. That's what you get when you think you know it all. Am I crazy, or is there beginning to be some sort of future for Rolle and Rachel? Sounds to me as if his mind may be salvagable after all, and wouldn't that be lovely? All that music, flowing out into the world, wonderful! The more you write the more I like Rolle, the more I root for him. Go, Rolle!

Author's Response:

LOL!  Rolle has a cheerleader! That's awesome.  I love how you're projecting into the plot, too!  As for the Romanians, yes, sadly, when you don't follow scientific procedure, you often get... um... burned, dusted.... whatever that was.

Reviewer: k1942 (Signed) · Date: October 18, 2010 12:44 PM · On: Chapter 4 I Felt Like One in a Dream

Well, well, our Rolle is just full of surprises! I'm guessing that Rachel never had an experience like that one before. If only she knew how very unique it was, she'd probably faint, or maybe not, it might just turn her on. Another snippet of Rolle's history, with Stefan and Vladimir hungry for more proof of what he's capable of and how he does it. I find all this fascinating and am having nearly as much fun reading it as you must have had writing it.

Author's Response:

Yeah, sadly Rachel had no idea what Rolle was going through in his mind, but she obviously knew their congress had a much bigger implication for him.  At least she recognized that and tried to care for him through it.

Reviewer: k1942 (Signed) · Date: October 18, 2010 12:22 PM · On: Chapter 3 And thus I begin my new life

Poor Rolle, he could use a valium, or maybe psychotropics, something to help his scrambled mind. Seems as if Carlisle could use some help, too, medical or emotional, I'm not sure which. He seems to be undergoing a severe mental struggle, almost a crisis of faith, in mankind in general and Rolle in particular. Hope Edward can be of help to his father, and reconcile himself to what Rolle is trying to do for him and Bella, as well as the rest of the Cullens. It's an awful big gift he's trying to give them and not one they want him to suffer from, which he probably didn't think about before deciding to do it. Now, about the Romainians, they still are a  bit clueless as to what they have on their hands, and I'm wondering when and if they figure it out. Possibilities!

Author's Response:

I'm so glad you're reviewing each chapter! It's so much fun watching you discover things as the story unfolds!

Reviewer: k1942 (Signed) · Date: October 14, 2010 11:24 PM · On: Chapter 2: What's done is done

Rolle's history unfolds further! How very interesting that Stefan and Vladimir meet him and immediately think they can use him against the Volturi. That's hatred, when it lasts more than a thousand years! Not that I blame them. Who wouldn't want revenge for the destruction of all your"family"?

Author's Response:

Yay!! I'm glad we in agreement about how the Romanians can carry a grudge.  I'm looking forward to hearing from you as more of that story comes out!!

Thanks again for the R&R

Reviewer: k1942 (Signed) · Date: October 14, 2010 10:53 PM · On: Chapter 1 Cogito Ergo Doleo

Not to take away from your wonderful story and the fact you wrote it before anyone else, but I always thought  Carlisle might be too good to be true. Nobody, human or vampire, is really that forgiving, I thought , to myself. No matter who did what or how bad it looked, Carlisle always gave everyone the benefit of the doubt. So if he despairs, we're all in trouble. It may mean all is lost. I feel so sorry for him and wish I could do something. The only uplifting thing in this chapter was the passion and reassurance between Bella and Edward. That was beautiful. Bravo!

Author's Response:

Thank you! I felt the same.... that Carlisle's history was simply too rich to ignore and he has to have been through a lot to maintain his humanity after such a devastating "turning" when he became a vampire.

Thanks for the R&R

A wonderful ending to a wonderful story. Beautiful and so full of promise. I'm so pleased that Rolle got the chance to find his happily ever after and I'm glad that the Cullens were so supportive. I have enjoyed every second and I'm so pleased I spotted this story almost by accident! You have written something very unique and I thank you for sharing it. x

Author's Response:

Ah, the end at last. I'm glad you enjoyed it all. The idea of writing someone  who was so like Edward in many ways, and yet so different was very challenging  This is my first full-length story, and my first story written from an outline.  My new stories are based on "The Hunger Games", a story that was recommended by Stephenie Meyer herself.  You can find them on FanFiction.Net under my penname, gkkstitch.  I also have a couple Twilight shorts there.

Thank you SO MUCH for reviewing as you have. I love getting insight into what the readers enjoyed or merely tolerated throughout a story.  It helps me become a better writer.

Reviewer: RedSummer (Signed) · Date: October 09, 2010 10:37 AM · On: Chapter 21 - To Begin Again

Good decision. Rolle could only ever start to recognise his own mind in an environment where nobody had any expectations or agenda for him. That he Cullens opened their family to him and that he was equally as surprised that they would do that just goes to show how altruistic Carlisle really is, particulalry given the risks that such a decision might entail in the eraly stages as Rolle begins trying to master his gift. I'm so very pleased that he agreed to go with them and that he was able to recognise that this is something that HE wanted (with Bella's help!) Brilliant characterisation and a wonderful story. Now onto the epilogue! x

Author's Response:

Yay!! I'm so glad you've been enjoying this story.  The entire ida of an unstable vampire was so tempting... I'm glad you think I did it justice.  And thank you so much for all your reviews.  :-)

Reviewer: RedSummer (Signed) · Date: October 09, 2010 02:45 AM · On: Chapter 20 - In the Pain, There is Healing

Much better to be bonded to Carlisle I think than Aro, although I can't even begin to see how Rolle will react to the idea or how Edward will for that matter! x

Author's Response:

LOL, yes!! A million times better that it be Carlisle, but it's nice to know that people in high places are willing to take steps to see you succeed and be safe.  That's the more important point.  Aro never felt Carlisle was a threat.  Having read so many minds in his ridiculously long life, he knows when people want power.  He knows how their minds work.  And Carlisle has never fit that mold.

Reviewer: RedSummer (Signed) · Date: October 09, 2010 02:26 AM · On: Chapter 19 - He Who Replies to Words of Doubt

A very interesting idea...will it be enough to pull Carlisle from his depression though?! xxx

Author's Response:

I'm not really a proponent of having every single aspect of a story answered.  I think some things need a touch of reality and not everything needs to be solved, like a 30-min sitcom.  Having dealt with depression myself, it's not really an on-off type of situation.  You don't really feel it going away.  Everything just kind of shifts around in your head to accommodate it and you find other things to fill in the spaces until it's nibbled away.  Well, that's how it was for me anyhow.  Thanks for all your great reviews!!

Reviewer: RedSummer (Signed) · Date: October 09, 2010 01:54 AM · On: Chapter 18 - To Cross the River Styx

How awful! To not be able to distinguish the future that you want for yourself from that which others would want for you. No wonder poor Rolle is having such a hard time controlling his ability everyone else keeps getting in the way! x

Author's Response:

Yes, you're spot on.  It occurred to me one day that people are thinking stuff all the time.  If something suddenly pops into your head, how do you know it's really YOUR thought and not someone elses?  ::wags eyebrows::

Reviewer: RedSummer (Signed) · Date: October 08, 2010 10:55 AM · On: Chapter 17 - The Stygian Realm

No no no!!! Surely after everything they've been through it won't come to that?!!!

Author's Response:

I hope you're still reading!  I see you're on chapter 17, and the really exciting stuff is coming.  My husband said I write like Tom Clancy.... lots of build up, like a rollercoaster, and then once the action starts, everything happens really fast.  I have a feeling you're just at the top of that first big drop.  heh heh

Reviewer: RedSummer (Signed) · Date: October 08, 2010 10:28 AM · On: Chapter 16 - These Realms of Silence

So so good! Poor Rolle, I just want to give him a big old hug - but only if he doesn't vanish me  mind you! x

Author's Response:

This story has sparked a loving dedicated group of folks who have fallen in love with the original characters almost as much as they love Edward and Bella!  Everyone's reviews have been so incredibly wonderful.

Reviewer: RedSummer (Signed) · Date: October 08, 2010 09:22 AM · On: Chapter 12 - Love Has Led Me Here

I am worried. If Esme has made Carlisle promise not to leave her and stay with her for eternity...and Alice foresaw Carlisle not coming home and was cagey and unable to see/share what the future held based on the decision for them to go tp Volterra together...how many Cullens won't be making it home?? The plot and your writing has sucked me in completely and I just want to know!! x

Author's Response:

LOL!  I want to answer, but that will spoil what's coming up!  And I see you have more reivews, so I'll get to those next.

Reviewer: JAZZPURR (Signed) · Date: October 07, 2010 01:03 PM · On: Chapter 23 Epilogue special outtake

Love the story.  We got to have a sequel to the sequel!  What happens to Rolli and Rachel?  Does she get changed?  Do they get married?  Children?  MORE! :)

Author's Response:

You want MORE?  Ohhhh.... all right....  ::wink:: But just a little more, and then I need to rest.  giggle

As for seeing more of Rolle, maybe one day he'll have his own link in FF .net one day and then lots of people can write fic about him!  LOL  (but, keep on peeking at La Canzone and maybe you might glimpse Rolle in there just a wee bit)

Do you read LolaShoes stories?  Did you know she just finished her trilogy? The last story, "This Hungry World" was the last story.... did you see where she left Edward and Bella to start their "next life" together?  She put them in Duncan's Cove for me.  She's awesome!

Reviewer: RedSummer (Signed) · Date: October 07, 2010 04:36 AM · On: Chapter 7 When the faithful question

As you may have already guessed I am a big fan of the good doctor and I must admitt I am finding this story extremely addicitve and yet very hard to read. He is so conflicted about what he believes that it seems like life has beaten something fundamental out of him. I think there also seems to be an element of 'parent syndrome' whereby he is seeing Edward in a new light - not as a child that needs protecting, but as a man that is capable of making the right decisions, and I think that this too is having an affect on how Carlisle sees himself and his life, sort of like he has somehow become redundant in some ways which must be a difficult feeling to come to terms with.

Plus Rolle is just so beautiful in all of his emotionally-broken glory! I am really really enjoyin this. xxx

Author's Response:

I loved the line in Twilight about the vampires being really "unchanging" unless something really powerful happened, and it occurred to me that what happened to Carlisle when he was changed, and having his own father hunting him, must have left a deep mark on his psyche.  Having experienced depression, myself, I know it's possible to recover from it, but that it's also easier to succumb to it again later.  You'll see later what "tripped" Carlisle's emotional stability.

Thanks for reading and reviewing! It's great to know the story is touching people

Reviewer: mrsgunsage (Signed) · Date: October 06, 2010 03:22 PM · On: Chapter 23 Epilogue special outtake

:)  All along, I've wanted Rolle to be happy.  He's just a very compelling character.  Much like with Edward in the saga, his flaws are very real but they give him depth of character.  You want to see him overcome and realize he deserves happiness.

I'm actually glad you didn't just wrap it all up in a pretty, overly done package.  There is real work in any relationship and they know they have a lot of it in front of them... but they are going to do it together.  THAT is love... choosing to fall for the same person everyday no matter what obstacles you are going to face.

P.S  Are you already stalking me?  I thought I saw a chick with binoculars outside my office today...   LOL!!!  I wish I would've been able to get to you in enough time to be a pre-reader too, my addiction would've gotten fed that much quicker.  I'm never more than a PM away if you ever feel like you need an extra set of eyes.  :)

Author's Response:

Yeah, I've had a couple folks ask for more Rolle, but since this is "Twilight" fiction, I can't see doing more Rolle until he get's his own searchable topic on Fanfiction.net.  But by then, he'll have his own TV series!!!  LOL

I'm currently dabbling with some Hunger Games fiction, if you've read those books, too.  Let me know and I'll link you!

Reviewer: RedSummer (Signed) · Date: October 06, 2010 10:29 AM · On: Chapter 1 Cogito Ergo Doleo

Oh my! This was so heartbreakingly beautiful I very nearly cried. I just can't get over how completely shattered Carlisle has become and how devastating this is for his family - even if they don't fully understand it yet. When he stopped Esme from following him out - it was just so sad to see how much his faith in everything good and pure has been affected. A very moving piece. x

Author's Response:

Aww!  Thank you, honey!!  That's so kind of you.  Yes, I really wanted to mess with Carlisle a bit to uncover some family dynamics, esp between him, Edward and Esme.  :-)

Glad you're still enjoying the story!

Reviewer: JRParz (Signed) · Date: October 06, 2010 07:10 AM · On: Chapter 23 Epilogue special outtake

Awesome ending.  Read the previous chapter last night, so when I saw this one this morning... it brought a smile to my face.  Thanks for an incredible ride... and YES, just in case there is an offer there...  I'd love to read Part Three of this incredible tale.  I think a love story between Rolle and Rachel, with the Cullens very much a part of the process, and without the Volturi threat, is exactly what the Doctor ordered!  :-)

Regardless, thanks for sharing your wonderful talent!

Author's Response:

I promise that if Rolle ever has his own "entry" on the search for Fanfiction.Net, that I will happily deliver a part three of his tale.

:-D

Reviewer: mrsgunsage (Signed) · Date: October 05, 2010 08:06 PM · On: Chapter 22 - Epilogue

Rolle didn't undertand what he was himself for a very long time, and I think he is still accepting that he is a vampire rather than a demon like he believed.  I can see why being blunt would make sense to him... it solidifies the reality for him and it puts everything on the line for Rachael.

She can accept and listen to him... or think he's crazy and walk away.  If she accepts what he says the worst is already out in the open, if she walks he can get her a cab and hop into the ocean until he gets back to the Cullens and has some help to regulate his emotions again.

Author's Response:

I've loved having your along for this ride, honey. Your reviews are always so compelling and insightful.  If we had met earlier as the story was coming together, I would have asked you to be one of my pre-readers!

Thank you for ever review you've ever given for this modest little story.

Reviewer: yty (Signed) · Date: October 05, 2010 09:34 AM · On: Chapter 22 - Epilogue

You are such a tease, but your stories are fabulous.

As for the ending, his story parallels Edward's in the way that he's in love with a human, so it's got to be her choice whether she loves him sufficiently to overcome any fear over his being a vampire.  So Rolle's got his 'Bella' :-)

Author's Response:

Aww, thank you for your kind review!  And I promise I'm not THAT much of a tease.  There's a special outtake coming for you.  I just wanted to show Rolle's approach to all this; how he asked the first two questions that spoke about him, his character, himself as a man.  He expects Rachel to reject him as a vampire.  But to be rejected as a person?  That's a lot harder to live with.

Reviewer: bwen (Signed) · Date: October 05, 2010 08:32 AM · On: Chapter 1 Cogito Ergo Doleo

Pass the kleenex and move over cause I'm crying too!

Reviewer: bwen (Signed) · Date: October 05, 2010 08:15 AM · On: Chapter 22 - Epilogue

Dear gkkstich  I have loved this story since I first read anything regarding Rolle and even though I have read this chapter already on another site it is still amazing and touching!!!

The fact that Rolle was able to share all that is different about him based on Edward's recommendation speaks volumes for his cooming to grips with who and what he really is. Edward was a master at self destruction and obviously he is helping Rolle to learn from his mistakes. Rolle3 has so much to take in and to come to understand about himself not the least being that he's a Vampire, let alone his abilities.

I'm so glad that the Cullen's and Edward in particular can see where Rolle may be stronger with his lady love at his side and have convinced him that his feelings for her are outside of the influence of his abilities.

You have given your readers so much with this story we have lived with Rolle's pain and his love, we have experienced through him the prejudice and the desire to control him by the actions and thoughts of others, and we have seen and felt the difference of that unconditional love of a family and true friends who advocate for you, and encourage you to believe that most problems can be resolved. You have created characters that have delivered with every word and action breathing life into your story creating strong visuals and visceral feelings.

I will miss Rolle as much as I would Edward if no one were to write about him again!

Author's Response:

BAWL!!!  omg, you're review made me cry!  I'm so glad you have enjoyed this story and loved Rolle as much as Edward.

I'm not being generous, I'm telling you the truth here girl.  Your stories wrapped me up hardcore in a way very few others have been able to.  I am usually total fail as a reviewer, but when I see an update from you I know I will have something to say afterwards.  Sometimes it's silly, sometimes it's serious but there is always something.

:)

Author's Response:

You're adorable, and I will just have to stalk you and hug you.  psst... ignore the mouse. She's not the writer you're looking for.

Soo.... I'll just have to post one more thing then, won't I.  Hah!  (soon)

Reviewer: mrsgunsage (Signed) · Date: September 14, 2010 06:37 PM · On: Chapter 21 - To Begin Again

I have to thank you for these stories.  They have fluff, they have angst and action, they have thought provoking moments... and they have Rolle.  What more could anybody want?

I can't wait for the epilogue.  :)

Author's Response:

You are simply the most generous reviewer I have ever had.  Your enthusiasm and support have been a great thing and I hope I have earned them, because they meant so much to me.

The epilogue is done and with the previewers now, and there might even be a tiny bit more of a gift for beautiful reviewers such as yourself even after that.  So stick with me just a little while longer and I'll try to bring another smile to your eyes.
