I have to say I loved this story much better than the original Twilight.  lol  Thanks for sharing!

I loved this story, ans went back to read it again.

One correction to the French.  "Combien de langues parlez-vous?" is formal, and clearly Bella and Edward are well-known to each other.

It should be "Combien de langues parles-tu?"

I still remember being in 6th grade and being so freaked by watching "Village of the Damned".

Your visual here was perfect. I am really enjoying this story. Thank you.

Well Kate, you've done yourself proud. This has been a wonderful, magical story and I've loved every bit of it, even the scary stuff. Don't feel you have to someday add to this as it's perfect just the way it is. I'll always think of Edward and Bella, sometimes with their family and sometimes on their beach, but always, always together, forever.

Some things never change, and Edward's OCD must be one of them. He gets an idea in his beautiful head and has a hell of a time getting rid of it. Life is never perfect, even for vampires it seems, so like anyone else, you just do the best you can. Nice that Jake finally figured out why Bella decided what she did, it may help him accept it, who knows?

Life works out the way it should, at least this time. I felt kind of sorry for Jacob, Sam put him in danger and probably hoped the vampires would kill him.Good thing extreme stress forced Bella's shield to expand and protect Edward, just in the nick of time, too. Now the rightful alpha is in charge and maybe peace will reign, even if an uneasy one. Perhaps the Cullens can relax just a bit, for now.

Good old , arrogant Sam, graciously letting the Cullens live in half the country. The half away from the Quileutes, I notice. I'm kind of with Bella, don't trust the pack very much, it seems like they're giving up pretty easy. Time will tell. I hope this gives Bella the idea that trying to talk to her former best friend is probably a waste of time. Still makes me want to smack Sam uoside the head and ask him if he's crazy.

Yes, of course it had to be the wolves, hot on Bella's trail. Since when is Sam the arbiter of all things , including Bella's accident? Naturally he would never consider the fact that without turning into a vampire she would be dead, and it was her wish . This whole thing is one hell of a mess. I sure hope you have a magic answer to make things right.

Just when you think everything is going along just right, all hell breaks loose. That smoke is burning vampire, for sure, and most likely Irina. Now what is threatening the Cullens and who gets hurt? Better not be Edward or Bella, or the rest, come to think about it.

Yes, you little tease, I think there's a very good reason Bella senses an urgent need to control her shield. Somewhere in her gifted mind, is a tiny warning voice, telling her, unconciously. to be ready for what's coming, because it puts her family in danger. As for convincing Edward to get over himself, I love how she did it! Vamp Bella takes no nonsense , not even from the love of her life. It just tickles me how she told him to shape up or ship out!

I'm happy Bella has found her shield again, and managed to extend it over Edward. Tanya was obviously a big help. The story of her mother and the immortal child was sad. No wonder Tanya, Irina and Kate still mourn, it must have hurt horribly to see their mother die for love of another child, one they didn't even know exsisted. The red Ferrari sounds cool, but Esme's island sounds even better.

A visit to the cousins at Christmas, how very human of them! It was another step in Bella's education as a vampire. Tanya telling of their mother's shield and what she could do with it, will no doubt help Bella with hers, especially if the sisters help her practice. Coming home to find a human in the driveway was pretty scary for all concerned. It also showed Bella how strong she was when Edward reinforced her determination not to kill some poor stranger.

Seems to me that Bella sort of told Lori, her boss, that she might be moving to Alaska. If there's some question about Bella's accident and the Quileutes start looking for her, they'll find her there. Not too good, I'm betting. It won't matter to them that she would have died without the change, they just see vampires as evil bloodsuckers. Real broadminded of them!

Reviewer: k1942 (Signed) · Date: February 20, 2011 12:09 AM · On: Chapter 17

So, our Bella has had to learn some hard truths about her new life, especially about the bloodlust. Romantic Edward picked the perfect way to give Bella backher rings and the locket was a lovely thing for him to do. The crowning gift I think was the journal, since her memories are so important to keep alive.

Taking a wild guess here that because she had her shield up when the accident happened , the change made it permanent. I seriously hope I'm wrong, because it will devestate Edward. Being in Bella's mind is like heaven to him  and now he's being denied heaven. Things are good, despite having to fake her death and can only get better if they find a way to unshield her mind.

Reviewer: k1942 (Signed) · Date: February 19, 2011 11:02 PM · On: Chapter 15

Okay, you're forgiven because Bella survived both the accident and the change. It was so sweet that Edward kept his promise and talked or hummed  to Bella the whole time, just as she needed him to. It probably maintained Bella's sanity as she burned. I'm hoping she doesn't have to keep Edward from hurting Rosalie, it's not her fault  the stupid deer all congregated inthe middle of the road. For better or worse, the transformation is over and their eternal life begins. Keep up the good work!

Alright, no fair half way through the story and you have Bella in a life-threatening accident, in the truck. Not good! Edward is going to have a major melt-down, his wife may be dying and he's not there to protect her from anything. You're breaking my heart here, damn!

Reviewer: k1942 (Signed) · Date: February 19, 2011 09:53 PM · On: Chapter 13

Six weeks of hiding how much they love each other isn't going to be an easy thing for Edward and Bella. The wolves aren't stupid either, so it becomes a cat and mouse game. I can see it all now, both sides watching the other. Well, they will do whatever it takes to be together and guard their love. It was so sweet of Alice to have that chain delivered so Bella can have her rings close to her heart all the time. I have my finger's and toes crossed that all turns out well for my favorite couple.

Reviewer: k1942 (Signed) · Date: February 19, 2011 09:24 PM · On: Chapter 12

How true, how true! As Alice told Bella, you can do anything if you know the right people and have enough money. Nothing wrong with that, just how it's always been. It worked out beautifully for Bella and Edward's wedding, thanks to Alice. Made everyone happy that she's offically a Cullen, only one more step and she'll be like all the rest of her family. Need I say what a way to start a marriage? The connection between their minds adds such a dimension to their lovemaking, it blows me away just to read about it. On to the next chapter and more fabulous sex!

Reviewer: k1942 (Signed) · Date: February 19, 2011 04:46 PM · On: Chapter 11

There's so much good stuff in this chapter, where to start? It shocked the hell out of Bella when Jake went postal on her. Then to have the female Cullens show up to protect her her from Jake. Combine that with Renee being her selfish, inconsiderate self, and you have the melt down in the cemetery. Bella sure could use some of Charlie's calming influence right now. I'm glad Alice had a chance to prepare Bella for how strongly Edward would react to all this. They had a real good talk about everything. Even though Billy called, I still don't trust Jake  to not do something stupid.

Reviewer: k1942 (Signed) · Date: February 19, 2011 04:01 PM · On: Chapter 10

Of course Jake overreacted, that's just Jake. He has his people's innate hatred of vampires, augmented by the fact he must have phased by now, and so knows just who and what the Cullens are. Lucky Bella didn't let slip that she and Edward are now lovers and soon will wed. That little tidbit of information would have been all that was needed to set off a hell of a fight. As itis, Edward is really going to be  pissed when he sees a bruise on his mate.

Reviewer: k1942 (Signed) · Date: February 19, 2011 03:29 PM · On: Chapter 9

Bella being able to share her thoughts with Edward, practically at will, and then being able to completely shield said thoughts, is very different and I quite like it. Discussing how to go about the  least painful changing was so pragmatic of them. If I had a choice, the medically induced coma sounds like a good way to go. Speaking of change, Bella handled Rosalie just right, in my opinion. Rose is so centered on how she feels about her existence, it's difficult to put her self in anyone elses shoes. The car thing would be the ideal way for them to interact.

Reviewer: k1942 (Signed) · Date: February 19, 2011 02:55 PM · On: Chapter 8

I'm so impressed, with Bella's ability to block everyone out of her mind, and how thoughtful she is concerning the details of the change procedure. Talk about doing your homework, this girl gets it done.
