Just because he is Robert F'n Pattinson does not give him the right to be a wanker. Jen is very forgiving, which could be her undoing down teh road. she needs to find that piece of her and not fall away in to the shadow of Rob. and he needs to respect that and support it as much as she does him.
He needs to grow up. absolutely if he expects to be in a relationship that is as serious as what they have.
This being apart may help that, may see how much he needs her and what she has really given up for him.
she absolutely cannot be his mum. that part is taken.
i think you are the only one so far to not forgive him really... and that is awesome in my book.
he is still a child on so many fronts...
let's see how he deals with her being gone to deal with her own things for a couple of weeks.

Tantrum, Rob? I can't imagine what it must have been like for him to film all those charged scenes. I mean really?
The love scene was very loving. Am I the only one that's noticed that they make love slightly differently now? Although, not any less, but in a different, more love-filled way. And, that's not a bad thing.

oh dear, I think they are both very insecure. I worry for how they will be when Jen goes away, more about him than her. I think she is a bit stronger than he is. But they love each other.

Ah Rob...our beautiful British boy. No matter how hard your day is at work on the set love, there is no excuse for treating Jen the way you did :( Even worse, you wouldn't even tell her what you were struggling with in the film, so she had no idea that anything she had done would set you off like that.
Thank goodness he eventually saw the light, begged her forgiveness and came clean as to what was troubling him. A problem shared is a problem halved! Regardless of the shit fit Rob had over coming home to see the Brit pack over visiting and hanging with Jen; it was nice to see her so relaxed with his friends and jamming.
After all of his stupidity, boy was that boy lucky to have a tremendous woman like Jen to come home to after their big discussion? Here he was thinking he was going to treat her to a special night, showering her with love; and instead she gave him quite the treat.
P.S - I did not miss the hints towards Jen being pregnant either? The casual mention of her clothes getting tighhter & the corset digging into her? All signs point towards a baby Pattinson on the way - Rob will posivitiely turn to mush I'm sure :)

You are so mean Steph, dropping hints and then just leaving it!
It looks to me like Rob needs to get used to the whole releationship thing, he needs to learn give and take (aahh, he is so young!) 2 or 3 weeks apart could be good for them. unless Jen makes a discovery while she is away? THAT could be difficult. Just guessing here.
I had notification in my inbox this morning that this story had posted and notification of new Rob/Jacob J pics. Oh decisions decisions, which one do I click on first?! Sorry Steph, but I went for the pics, I just couldn't resist. And resistance, as they say, is going to be futile for the remainder of the film judging by what I have seen so far!
Really enjoyed this chapter, wanted to give Rob a kick in the backside for being a sulky child, but, I'm sure he'll learn! Till next time....

Author's Response: Yeah, little bumps, little issues can add up, and he really is still just a kid on many levels. HArd for him to handle too many stressful things at once. That doesn't give him the right to wail on her for it, especially with all she has going on as well, although I think Rob doesn't really understand all the issues she really has. He has a lot of growing to do still, regardless.
Ah their time apart. they need to strengthen their relationship. and hopefully a little separation will temper that. They need to get used to being apart if their careers are going to work. Jen won't thrive in an empty house.

About the separation - I think it's quite normal for the two of them to be so anxious about it. After all, they've only been together for a few months, and any separation is hard for a new couple (speaking from experience here ;-) ). I hope they will survive it without major issues... I really do!

I couldn't resist reading this before I went to bed. Rob was definitely a bit douchy in this chapter, and I do think that Jen let him off a liiiiitle bit easy, but I'm very glad they talked. She didn't really get an answer about why he had invited them over if he had wanted a night in with her alone so badly. I'm curious about that. I can definitely understand their coming separation causing some emotional breakdowns though. Lovely as always, and sweet dreams of Rob in sexpender pants!

I'll tell you now (cuz it will be forever to get to this point in OTT) he simply forgot he had invited them over. And he didn't know about Jen leaving when he had invited them. the boy really needs to use his Google calendar more... some of his aggression could be too that he realised he screwed up. mad at himself on top of everything else.
he is dealing with a lot of pressure, and the being the young kid he really is, he lashed out. And i think Jen is so emotional with her own apprehension on life and what she is doing, it is taking a toll on her as well. She just wants reassurances. and maybe that's why she gave in so easily.
this separation is putting pressure on them to be sure. They need to come to terms that there will be times apart (as you and I are both familiar with) and that this separation can't be nearly as bad as the last one.

yeah, I admit it - I was so crying during most of it... and what do you know - rob can be a regular jerk of a guy - of course he was feeling a little vulnerable, jealous, terrified, sick with worry - lashing out was a way for him to deal with emotions that just seem to run out of control. gah - I'm so freaking emotional right now... one moment I want to kick his ass and the next just hug him and tell him it's going to be all right and then smack him upside the head and tell him to stop being a git. *takes a deep breathe*
and I'm so glad Jen told him how she is feeling - this "waiting" while he has a life that he is living and while she is living with him in this new life with each other she needs something too - she needs to find purpose the way he has it.. i mean the whole stay at home is great and all - but i'm sure feeling productive will only add to what she brings within their lives together. so good for jen - poor rob needed to hear her and understand what she is trying to accomplish to make herself content and happy with her chosen path...
and so glad you gave us some "make up" after the explosion of emotions sex - it was almost as good as ch 13 of OOT lol. I know it's going to be tough and I'm sure rob is going to go crazy - and sad to say I can't wait to read about it... hey - there is always phone sex! lol

you hit them all on the head, and really he really is just a 23 year guy... awkward around women, and used to being loose with his mates. to see her so carefree with them...has to unnerve him a little.silly boy.
Jen. her emotions are all over the place too. Rob is her second... second relationship...ever...it doesn't matter how old she is, she is still inexperienced in the ways of relationships past Mike. but she did a good job, revealing her feelings.
She needs something of her own. this has been her worry since the start. "what am I going to do if i go with you Rob? Be your geriatric arm candy, keep house for you? be your personal assistant?" she is more than that. and she is independent enough to want more than sitting in a quiet house all day, by herself. maybe the reviewing will work out, but if Rob and Jen can't get over the need to be apart once in a while, it will fall apart.
ah makeup sexin... always good to have... hehe. oh chapter 13... good times... good times...

Oh my, what got into Rob this chapter. His reaction to seeing Jen goofing with his friends was completely surprising. And kind of annoying. Not that I don't love me some Rob, but he was an ass. I guess he just has to prove once in a while that he's human. And I'm glad they talked through it before she left. And then had loads of sex. Thanks for that, by the way.
I am worried about the separation, though. And the fact that I'm worried about the separation, worries me.
OH! And when you said that Rob was "bothered" in this chapter. I couldn't help but think of Jimmy Fallon's skits. LOL
Author's Response: A little surprising to be true. he has a lot to bear at the moment, and that little bit of insecure boy couldn't help but to surface.
he's stressed over this movie, stressed over Jen leaving, losing his drug if you will. and just a hint of jealous man coming out. Like Jen would leave him. rolls eyes at Rob... but the separations. they are basing it off of the last one, which is silly for both of them to do. they are past that really. but still...they are holding onto it. silly kids.
let's hope she gets her stuff taken care of quickly.
