The cliffie was brutal. I think this was the best chapter yet but I have to be honest and say I hated the beginning. I understood her freakout because of the blood but ALL of that too WAY too long. I looked at the scroll bar and it was half the chapter and it made me disappointed because I thought we wouldn't get anything good.

But I'm glad you didn't let all that last long. It was needed to show Leah being there for Jen but it was longer than needed for me.

 

Can Summit do what they did? Isn't that a lawsuit waiting to happen? That bruise is not good.

thanks my dear! I definitely wanted Leah to get some time for Jen to see how friendship can be more than simple buddies on the phone. Jen needs someone who will support and call her on her bs... 

Summit. They really can't do that. Which is why Dmitri is there. can you imagine if jen went to say anything, to try and press charges against Big Man. it's all heresay. and he never touched her, an "associate" did. someone probably not even on the books. could Big Man be goign a bit Rogue? or did someone higher up authorize? oooooh.

Please don’t take what I will say next the wrong way. I love your story and you are a brilliant writer but…….

Complete strange people telling Jen how great she and Robert are together and wishing her and him well over and over again that’s really over the top. Your story is losing authenticity because of that. (I know it’s fiction but still)

Please try to tune down those moments where absolute strangers tell her how good they look together and how happy he looks. I’m sorry to tell you this but it’s really getting ridiculous.

Aside from this the story is awesome.

I wonder how his sentence will end. Will he give in to Summit? And when yes how will Jen react?

Knowing her I think she would smile politely, trying not to make a scene, and then would leave the party the first change she gets.

Will she contort Robert about it the second he gets into their hotel suit or will she leave New York instantly, leaving a devastated Robert behind?

Or will he introduce her as his girlfriend?

Can’t wait for the next chapter.

thanks my dear. truly I mean that. We writers need to hear this every now and then, and i think that is what I love so much about this community. That you have the ability to tell the author when something is too much. And i love that. 

so no. I didn't take it the wrong way. I encourage it. Especially when many of you wonderful readers have a closer relationship to the story as a whole. I don't mean i don't have  grasp of it, but it is amazing how, when i read the early chapters over, i am amazed at some of what was written. especially when it was over a year ago. oy. 

so i get what you are saying. (an interesting thing, i had a small bit in the Baftas chapter about the ladies in the bathroom who recognizes Jen, and first draft they were NOT nice at all, they actually harrassed her and threatened her. but i was feeling bad for Jen, she had been thru so much... i edited it. alas... )

it is strange how this story morphs and shifts from time to time, this chapter went thru 4 very different drafts before this one. The characters keep developing, and the path they take keeps adjusting to their requests... 

how will that sentence end.... another twist to the story... somewhere fic Rob has taken me. i am really just the not taker now as they pave the path. weird i know. 

I can tell you for certain that we are back in London in ch 69.... hehehe

Nooooooo!!!!! I can't believe you left us here. Well, actually I can, cause that's your job right? To keep us coming back for more? I just have to say, in the nicest way possiblel...DON'T YOU DARE LET ROB PUSSY OUT TO SCUMMIT!!! He needs to grab her, kiss her in front of everyone, then go hold a press conference releasing ALL the details, before summit can sully them. A pre-emptive strike if you will.

I know that this is your story, but PLEASE don't let Rob cave in fear. He is the golden boy and summit can't afford his wrath. They are just trying to bully him, but they can't exactly DO anything to him unless he lets them. He's too public, too popular.

Oh my god!  You can't leave us like that.  So unfair.  I am dying to know if Rob really did sell out.  I have many doubts, but his reaction to seeing Jen planted a vicious seed in my brain.  Definitely making me hate Summit though.  Don't make us wait too long for the next installment of Jen, Rob, Mike and Joe (both of whom I love BTW).

This was...utterly ridiculous. So many things...It's just unbelievable. And I don't exactly mean this in a good way. I couldn't believe any of it, really. And it's getting very exhausting, the whole back and forth, indecisive thing.

OMG! Whats gonna happen. I was sat on the edge of my seat the entire time.
So nerve racking.

I'm literally trembling. What is going to happen? What did they tell Rob? He surely isn't one to be bribed. They must have threatened Jen's safety.

I usually don't say this, because real life always comes first - but it's your own fault this time, oh writer of the evil cliffie: Please update quickly!

Please, let Rob be good for Jennifer. I wouldn't be able to take it, me and Jen both, if Rob denied their relationship. Not now that she's starting to get stronger. Please!

but now I'm all caught up -- and I love that you had george in this chapter!!! he is so freaking precious! srsl - he can still make me weak in the knees for an old dude.. plus how can you not like a guy who spents lots of time in Italy - i'm sure he's fluent in italian - so hot..

and jen meeting Sir Anthony Hopkins - i can so hear him during the conversation - too cool!

jen can totally go into acting if the whole writing thing doesn't work out :) loved her performance. :)

so glad jen had clare to help her get the party - thank goodness for wonderful clare and knowing how silly boys can be. jen needed to be there for him.

anyway - lovely chapter even though you had me balling at the end and how they are dealing with the loss.
