I have read a few Jasper and Alice stories on this site, but I find that none of them are as good as this one.
I love this story and I've re-read it five times and it's still absolutely amazing writing.

I love the way you describe Jasper's scars in detail. I mean, when your husband's skin is ravaged for eternity there has to come a time you focus on them individually, right? Great fic!

This is getting better and better. Almost poetic.
In describing the scars of his torso . . . I love the emotion and the bond you've shown between the two characters. I wasn't expecting the humor!! :)
Just very well done. Wish this one had been longer.

I know that, when I create something, my favorite criticisms (positive and negative) are those that give very specific input on what is good and what is not so good. Most of the time I tend to just stay "good story" or something similar when reviewing fan fiction.
However, I'm enjoying your creations so much, I want to do better by you. Also, because I have noticed that you actually respond to your reviewers. That is very impressive.
So, here goes . .
I love the phrase, "scars not the sum of him." Haven't read the rest of the story yet, but just wanted to say how that phrase touched a chord. I think Jasper was incredibly neglected in the original stories. I love your development of him and his relationship with Alice.
I am looking forward to the rest of this story and all of your other stories on this site.

Wow. The construction of this, instead of breaking up the story, gives it lovely structure. It works so well. Thought=provoking.

Love, love, love this. I've enjoyed reading this just as much, if not more, than all of your other pieces. Very few could capture the emotions that you have, and very few could describe the way Alice feels about Jasper's scars. Amazing job :)

Really lovely and detailed. This actually reminds me of one section of Jeanette Winterson's amazing book, Written on the Body...which is definitely a HUGE compliment!

Great one-shot! You really have a nice way of writing, and this gives a different dimension to the A&J relationship, especially when so much of the time Alice is seen as a little superficial when it comes to appearances. Well done!
Author's Response: Oh, thank you! I appreciate that. I've noticed that Alice tends to come off as a superficial, shop-a-holic, and I've never viewed her that way. I try to make "my" characters as three dimensional as possible. So I'm glad you liked it. Thanka again! :D
