Kate is definitely her own worst enemy when it comes to opening herself up for love. So yes, I thought she'd totally backslide and force them to "take it slow." Although since they really were friends first, this really isn't rushing into anything. She needs to look at their overall time together. They kind of have taken it slow.
Thank goodness for Amy and Chloe!
It's obvious that Rob is over the moon about her joining him. Can't wait to see how it all goes from here!

Definitely worth the wait! With all the UST that had been building up, it's no wonder they finally attacked each other.

I was wondering what was up his arse. Maybe he's hating his filterless interviews more now. Personally, I think they're a hoot and makes him more endearing. But perhaps not to him here.
I don't know why but for some reason I'm loving the fact that Rob is seeing Kate with her hair down. He kept asking about it so I'm guessing he'll probably love it too.

Author's Response: I love his filterless interviews too! But he's approaching 31 in this story, and he's more circumspect--except when confronted with a certain redhead! He's probably a little embarassed at how he can't control his filter when she's around!

Funnily enough, I'm reading this on New Year's Eve. Fitting, isn't it. Have to go continue the Mario Kart tournament with my family, but enjoyed this little break.
The Christmas present from him was very sweet and perfect! He really put thought into it. I'm sure it wasn't part of a gift basket. :)
I'm glad she's rethinking how she vacations, too. It never made me all that comfortable to begin with. Plus she does need to retry dating.

Author's Response: Happy New Year! What great timing. :) Rob really did put some thought into her gift, and it's apparently paid off since Kate can't get him out of her mind. Hehehe...
Her vacations have been her way to distance herself from serious relationships, while getting her needs met. Some people cruise the bars every weekend looking to pick someone up; Kate simply limits her encounters to a few days a year. But she's known for a while that she'd have to stop soon. You can't live by one-night-stands forever.

They're so sweet with each other and really opening up. I hated for that to end. I was kind of hoping they'd go beyond the "friends" line, but I guess they've only been friends for a short time. Still need more time to navigate that.

“Linus and Lucy”--- This made me giggle because not only did I ask my son to play it in his Christmas recital next year, but I'm one of the room moms for my daughter's 1st/2nd grade class and we had some dance time before the Winter Party started and we played "Linus and Lucy" for freeze dance. They were bopping around all over the classroom and were adorable.
These are big strides for them. I'm glad that Kate didn't blame Rob for the school event being bumped. That wasn't his fault at all.
I really liked Rob's reaction to finding out that Kate's last bf hit her. Already he wants to come to her defense.
And who's kidding who? This friendship thing isn't going to last too long. Not with that much UST. At least I hope not. Perhaps he'll be at the bar that night.
Author's Response: Hee--few things are cuter than watching a bunch of first graders dance! The wild flailing gets me everytime! And I love that song. :)
You're right. Now they both understand a little better why they're so wary of being hurt again. But after everything they've been through, friends is a natural next step. For now... ;)

Hi! I really enjoyed the story....so far. But this chapter? I don't know....Why in the world did you jump head first into the cheapest stereotype ever? I mean - Aryan?? Are you for real? And the name.. Günther? How old is this guy? Eighty?? Grunting Germans all the way? Please. You know... I am German and I feel a bit offended. We don't grunt. We talk. Like everyone else in the world. I'm deeply sorry if our language sounds harsh or whatever to you, but please do me and other readers a favour and keep your bias to yourself next time. It makes you look stupid and uninformed. I will go on reading your story, because it's well written and I really like the plot, but this just had to be said.

For the record, I think people all over the world are capable of grunting in every language, especially when they're out of breath from dancing and drinking, such as the partygoers in this chapter. You are incredible. This chapter is incredible. You do these scenes so well. What it makes me feel, almost like it's me (yeah I wish!). Your last story EIANB is one of my all time favorites. I've read it several times. It looks like this story is going to be the same for me. I like tender Rob, I like rough Rob, I like sexy Rob. I just love Rob.
I love stories about Robert Pattinson and your stories are the best in this genre. I could just see them happening in real life for him. They are so genuine and I can just imagine Rob acting like this sometimes. I wish real life for him was a little more like one of your stories (if you get my drift).
Keep up the good work. Looking forward to the next chapter.
