Great story! It really caprture's Jasper's essence and fills a gap in the original story. It fits perfectly, as if it could really have happened in the background. I love these kind of canon additions. Keep up the good work!

I've never read a Jasper POV before, but I really liked this. It was nice how you went through his reasons for everything, even with killing Bella. It made me understand why he was thinking the way he was, even though I'm highly against the death of either Bella or Edward. Alos, I've always wondered how it would go if Jasper didn't give up in the meeting that night after the van accident.

You wrote this really well and I enjoyed reading it. Thank you for writing and sharing it with us!

Author's Response:

Thank you for your review. I really enjoy writing canon. If I'm going to play in someone else's playground, I'm going to follow thier rules. ;)

Jasper is a complex character, and I learned a lot trying to figure him out. I am glad ytou enjoyed my story.

This was a very good fill in from Jaspers point of view.  It gives a great look into what he had to deal with all the time.  I think that you really caught the essence of what he was.

Xanath

Author's Response:

Thank you very much. Jasper is my favorite character. He is complex and often misunderstood, in my opinion.

Glad you enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed reading Jaspers pov in this.  Too often he is portrayed as weak; a slave to his gifts rather than the strong, mature family member he is.  In this, even his struggles show his commitment and strength.  Thanks for writing it.

Author's Response:

Thank you for you review. I really don't like when Jasper is shown as weak. Even in the original books. Someone who has lived through war is often misunderstood.

Glad you enjoyed it. Jasper is a major player in all my fics. Hope you have a chace to read them.

This was a really great one-shot: you had me wishing for Jasper to get the chance to kill Bella.

Author's Response:

Thank you for leaving a review. I'm sure Bella would not appreciate your wish, but your words are making me think of a one-shot where Jasper reveals to Bella what happened and her reaction. So many plot bunnies...so little time.

I made it halfway through before I had to give up.  Despite what seems to be popular opinion, the letter 'g' does in fact exist in Texas.  And even if it did not....we do not think with an accent.  The vernacular intermixed here was incredibly annoying and distracting enough that I was forced to give up on what seemed to be an otherwise enjoyable story.

Author's Response:

I am sure the letter g exists in Texas. However, in my Texan's husbands speech, it does not. I know the choice to write in dialect is a hot topic and a something each writer must decide for themselves. While I am sorry it kept you from reading my story, it is how I choose to write Jasper and I will continue to do so. It is my way of keeping his subtle drawl in my readers mind. To each their own and all that.

Thanks for the review. I like to know--good or not--what my readers think of my work.

Loved Jazz's POV! great job! I always thought Jazz was the kind not to leave loose ends, but i didn't think he'd actually go to try to kill her

Author's Response:

Jasper would absolutely try to kill her. Once a soldier that way of thinking never leaves your mind. He pegged her as a treat to Alice and he took action. The difference between who he was with Maria and who he was in Forks is that he had developed a scence of compassion.

Thank you for the review.

There lots of Jasper in my current work-in-progress No Way Back check it out.

I should have known! Knew the penname sounded a bit familiar!

And now it makes sense, cause there  are very few (that I've read) that can get Alice & Jasper right, and you're definitely on that list!

Author's Response:

Wow! What a compliment! When a reader of No Way Back suggested I write an outtake in Jasper's POV I didn't think I could do it. Once I gave it a shot, I found I enjoyed it a lot.

I see you have NWB in your favs. Thanks for reading my fic and thank you for the review.

Wow I think you've done a wonderful job getting into Jasper head and helping us see things from his point of view.  I really hope that you pick other scenes from the book and give it the same treatment.  Like what was his take at the actual wedding or when Nessie was born.  How did he see things when the actual battle with the Volturi was over.  I'm sure he had great insite into Rose and Esme when Bella came home from her honeymoon.   If Edward could here the baby would Jasper be able to feel it?

Author's Response:

Thanks for such a lovely review. I definately would like to write more Jasper POV from the books. My current work-in-progress fic, No Way Back is full of Jasper goodness. Hope you take a look. He take a bigger role as the story progresses.

Thanks again!

Author's Response:

Ummm not completely sure if you liked it, but I hope you did. This was my Canon Tour Entry so I wrote something that fits in with both Twilight and Midnight Sun.

Thanks for the review.

This was a really, REALLY great missing moment...and so well crafted.  I love the voice you have given Jasper and the outsider's perspective on that climactic night in Bella's room!

A wonderful surprising one-shot!

Author's Response:

Jasper is my favorite Twilight character. To me, he is not used enough in canon. If you like this, check out my work-in-progress, No Way Back. Jasper get a lot of line there! :)

Thanks for the review!

Your story is SOOOO good!! Read it through the link over at the 'Canon Tour' Page and when I saw the Summary here it made me smile. Great! Cause it gives me a chance to get to read it again!

Author's Response:

Thank you kindly for your review. If you like NP, please check out my current work in progress No Way Back. Jasper plays a bigger role in the story as the chapters go on.

Thanks for taking the time to R & R.
