Chapter is a little short. Love the concept. Love Edward's depression. Funny that for being set in the future the language feels so old ( and as your name would suggest) gothic.

I have to admit that I don't like what you did to the characters but yet I can't quit reading. You have made it so realistic. Everyones names are there but they are totally different characters. I have to say that makes you a great writer in my opinion. Update soon please.

I don't really understand how he remembers Bella perfectly but only has hazy memories of his family. Especially considering vampires have perfect memories. But I am willing to keep reading and see if this is explained later.

I just started this story this evening & I have to say I have a problem w/ a few things. First, Edward has a photographic memory so he couldn't forget his family. Second, the ties between mates is strong, not weak & easily broken. I was glad to find that Bella was not dead. I'm willing to wait it out & see what happens & hope there is a HEA

I'd forgotten this story. I was settling into the first chapter when I realized I'd read it before and each chapter came back to me till I finally came to the new one. As before I'm curious where you will take this but am glad there is more to read.
For all Edward's desire to fix everything... Alice might still be dead. No coming back from that. And Jane is now a part of this.
What do you have on Bella's mind? I look forward to finding out.

I find your story quite compelling. When I read it, i find myself liking it and disliking it at the same time-but I think that that is a good thing, not a criticism. I like the fact that Edward can crumble to his more carnal instincts. Keep up the intriguing story!

I love the tone of this chapter. The language you`ve used expresses Esme`s saddness throughout. How terrible to just sit and wait, by ones self, for nearly 100 years. Knowing that she couldn`t leave as Alice had foreseen Edward returning. I wonder if she had company during that time; Nomads, B and J? Would she even want to see B and J? Hope Edward can make her happy again...will they find Carlise?

wow. i have been scaning the most recent fic section here for a few weeks looking for a new fic to start reading and hadnt been able to find anything really worth reading and then i found your story. really good plot. different. i read all the chapters you have posted and can not wait for more. though i kinda hope bella and jasper stay together and edwards reapperance doesnt break them up...i always seem to like the bella jasper pairing.

God; you can feel Esme`s agony. Where is Doc Cullen? Hope Esme and Edward stay together now. Esme would really help Edward keep focused and calm.

It will be a few weeks until the next chapter, though. My computer is on strike and won't turn on, and my publisher would be upset to find out that I take the little bit of time I have at work to write fan-fic. (Cruel, isn't it?) Oh well. Real life does make its own demands.

Very powerful images - pain in my gut from the pain the characters are feeling - the image of Alice suggesting that she will share Jasper with Bella breaks my heart - such a desperate act - eager to read the next chapter yet almost afraid - if I was on the beach with this book I'd be getting a sunburn because I wouldn't be able to put it down to put on more sunscreen!
Author's Response: Wear sunscreen. The medical benefits of sunscreen have been proven scientifically. Everything else here is just advice. :-)
