I never thought Alice would blame herself for Edward's leaving Bella. I figured she would have her hands full trying to soothe and support Jasper in his despair. Should have known she might shoulder some of the blame. It's a sad time for all the Cullens, no doubt about it and little do they know it will get worse before it gets better.

When I was writing this, I had absolutely no idea that she'd blame herself. But then I thought, "Hey. She can see the future and she didn't see this. She will probably take some of the blaim." And that's how it happened, haha. I'm pretty sure most of the Cullens were blaiming themselves, or possibly others (in Rosalie's case). It's a hard time for them, like you said. Jasper's socks glided smoothly over the floor and stopped right in front of me.

*jumps and claps* The socks! It still makes me smile, even after like the fifth or sixth time of reading this now.

I love this one-shot, I really do. You are great with the angst, even though you say you don't like it!

The last line is very fitting. She is definitely the lost Alice, especially as she goes looking for her family in the time they are away.

Put this in the series? I think so.

Lol, I never see socks the same because of you! I always see Jasper whenever I see socks. I am such a complex person, I guess. I really don't like writing angst, but then you look at all my other stories and they're absolutely FULL of angst, haha! I love that last line. Best line I've ever written, I suppose. ;) And, of course, you can put it in the series.

wow. i am constantly overwhelmed by the talented authors on this site. it never occurred to me that alice would blame herself because of the party. this is the second story i've read this week, but only one of less than a dozen overall, that are now part of the twilight saga. as far as i'm concerned, this happened.
