Reviews For Waking Up Alone
Reviewer: Saruwatari (Signed) · Date: August 04, 2010 05:38 AM · On: Meal Interrupted

The title "Waking Up Alone" and the banner you have makes it seem as though Bella is devestated that she woke up alone. The way you have written this makes it seem that she got over the fact that she was a vampire and no one was there with her immediately. Some people may call this "fast-pace" but I call it rushed and non-descriptive.

You're telling us how Bella feels instead of showing us with your words.

Ah well, your story, I'm just a critic.

I love New Moon fics.

I enjoyed this story. I appreciate the fact that you didn't drag it out chapter upon chapter while Bella decides if she can forgive Edward. (annoying)

It wasn't over written or drawn out, but straight to the point.

Bella + Edward= LOVE ...nuff said :)

I love your Banner, too.

Sorry, ending seemed a bit too abrupt/contrived.

Author's Response:

I am sorry you feel that way about the ending. Thank you for taking the time to read and review though.

While I liked your story, the ending was way too abrupt, and left questions.

Author's Response:

I am sorry you feel that way about the ending. I am glad however that you enjoyed the rest of the story! Thanks for taking the time to review.

Reviewer: Blacklily (Signed) · Date: May 24, 2010 04:29 PM · On: Fixing The Broken

Strange. Not the best story. I miss Bella's anger.

Author's Response:

I tried to stick to cannon. Bella acts as she did within the story. At no point in New moon did she ever go balistic. I tried to stay as close to her authentic nature as possible. Thank you for taking the time to review.

Reviewer: TLRichard05 (Signed) · Date: May 22, 2010 12:52 PM · On: Fixing The Broken

I love these type of Bella transformation stories plus HEA's :)

Plus it was the perfect length..just the right amount of time to read it while waiting for my corn on the cobb to cook..hehe!

Author's Response:

You have NO idea how wonderful it is to hear that you enjoyed the story! I am glad to see someone who agrees to the ending. Thank you greatly for your kind words.

It's a pet peeve of mine when authors ignore the nearly unanimous reviews of a chapter and insist that it was still the best decision. You're the writer, it's your choice....but I can't for the life of me understand why you would seek out feedback and then completely ignore it. Sorry if mine wasn't the most tactful, but if I hadn't really enjoyed this fic up to now, believe me, I wouldn't have bothered.

Author's Response:

I am by no means ignoring what you have to say, but simply explaining where the ending is coming from. I do greatly appreciate all forms of feedback, and I am sorry that you feel the way you do about the ending.

Reviewer: shannonluvstwilight (Signed) · Date: May 22, 2010 02:09 AM · On: Meal Interrupted

I was a little surprised that was the end, but I liked your story very much. I think you did a good job with it.

Author's Response:

Thank you So very much for your support! I am glad to see a  review from someone who appreciated the ending. I will soon be starting work on the Jacob side shot. Be looking for it in the next month or so.

Reviewer: buckwheat (Signed) · Date: May 22, 2010 01:30 AM · On: Fixing The Broken

.......the end? that was kindof........fast don't you think? She would have to get over the intial shock of him being there again and then have to go through the motions of forgiving him......I thought it would be longer than that...

Author's Response:

I was trying to keep the characters as canon-like as possible. The whole story is about Bella's loneliness and her struggle with being abandond. By finding the Cullens and Edward coming back she is no longer alone. The plot line has now come full circle. While I could have continued on and shown Bella's journey to forgive him, as well as Edward's wallowing in his self pity, I just didn't feel it right. Edward showing up there in the state of complete devistation that he was in showed Bella that what the family had been telling her was true. By the family telling her how everything really happened she had already started the process of forgiving. She just couldn't allow herself to believe that and go there until he showed up and proved it for himself.

Is there more that could have been written just for the sake of it? Yes, I guess there is. Should I do that though just for the sake of making the story longer? In my opinion, no. It is always a pet peave of mine when authors do that in there stories.

Thank you for taking the time to review. I do appreciate all reviews that come my way. Make sure to keep your eye out for the Jacob side shot that I will start work on soon.

Wow, I didn't know this story was going to end so soon.

Author's Response:

I'm sorry if it caught you off guard. I am planing to start work on a Jacob side shot soon. If you enjoyed this story, be on the look out for that one in a month or so.  Thank you for taking the time to review!

Reviewer: Roonie (Signed) · Date: May 21, 2010 08:22 PM · On: Fixing The Broken

That wasn't just an abrupt ending....that was an absurdly abrupt ending. It might have felt "fitting" to you, but I suspect that you simply lost interest in this fic and wanted to wrap it up as quickly (and effortlessly) as possible. That last bit from Bella's POV was so random and out of place that it actually made me laugh. It felt like someone wanted you to cook dinner for them so they yanked the computer off of your lap and typed out the ending in twenty seconds before saying "There! It's done! Now go fix me some g*damn pork chops!!"

I assure you that there was no rush to end the story. It has been complete for over a month and the whole time I have looked over the story multiple times and sent the chapters off to 4 different betas. I am sorry if you feel that the ending was randomly thrown in there and felt rushed. I assure you it was not.

Thank you for reviewing anyways though. I always do want to hear back from my readers. Even when the review itself is negative.

Honestly, I would have loved to see Carlisle, Emmett and Jasper beat the crap out of Idiotward verbally and physically, but that's probably because I'm mean like that. Thanks for sharing!

Author's Response:

Hehehe, I know. I felt the same way, but in the end I decided it is better left ambiguous. Besides, Edward didn't need too much crap beatin out of him. He did a pretty good job of that by himself once he figured out what was going on.

Thanks for reading and reviewing!!!  Your kind words are always appreicated!! Make sure to look for the Jacob side shot in the future.

Reviewer: shailienieves (Signed) · Date: May 21, 2010 02:56 PM · On: Fixing The Broken

AWWW!!~ i loved it...i thought it would have been longer and bella would have put up a bigger fight but it was still very good!!

Author's Response:

Thanks for the kind words and review. This chapter always gets mixed reviews and I can see why. The way I see it, the fights would come later. They are too broken to to have any energy left for the fight. They by no means were happy go lucky, they booth thought the other was gone for good. I decided to leave out on a happy note then drag it out and agsnt on for 6-8 more chapters. I am still contimplating the Jacob side of things so start looking for that in the near future.

i loved the concept of this story...i wish it would have continued.

Author's Response:

The last chapter to the story was submitted to my validation beta this afternoon. Thank you for taking the time to read and review my story!

Reviewer: karene (Signed) · Date: May 12, 2010 01:08 PM · On: The Story of Hell

um..i was really looking forward to bella and rosalie having a totally bitch out session!! oh.. and it would be really cool if she had a really really cool power.. u know.. the shield is great and all but its just a mental shield..  u could make it a physical shield too...

oooh or maybe the power to bring that jerk rosalie to her knees... you know? give bella like a totally "evil/cruel" power. I mean.. who would EVER believe that some one like Bella could have a destructive power that could wreck havoc on both human and vampire lives...

:) just a thought.

awesome start by the way

Author's Response:

I just don't see Rosalie acting that way here. Not after she has heard what happened. Rosealie's biggest issue is that Bella is willingly taking herself down a path that Rose believes that Bella will later regret. Through the tramua Bella has expereinced I think that Rose's issues would be gone and Rose would not want to see Bella hurt or in pain. She would see Bella as a sister just like the others would. And due to Rose's past she may even feel more protective of her then the others.

As far as Bella having extra powers go, this story doesn't really need them. I tried to stick as close to cannon as possible. This is a story about Bella's pain and her greif and how she deals with it.

Thank you for reading and for giving me your thoughts on the story!!! I really appreciate that. I hope that you will enjoy the last enstalment to this story when it goes up.

Well so far this is an awsome story. I cant wait to read more. How often do u update and im always waiting for more. I can tell this is the start of a great story and i look forward to joining you throught ur journey of writing =]

Xx Leonie - Looking forward to see what the family thinks of this situation. =]

Author's Response:

I am glad to hear that you are enjoying the story so much! I am honored that you feel that way.

As for the updates, I completed the story before I posted anything. My validation beta has recomended that I get a beta to look over the rest of the story before I send it on to her. At the moment, I am in search for a beta to look over the last couple of chapters before I update with more. However, I do try to stick to an update every week or so. The wait should not be to long.

awesome. i knew it was either jasper, emmett or alice who finds bella.

Author's Response:

Glad that you are so enjoying the story!

How did "tears" well up in her eyes if she's a vampire now?  Just wanted to point out that little error.  Otherwise, very nice.  Carry on!  :)

Author's Response:

In breaking dawn Stephanie elluded to tears that don't fall. I went off of that. More like her eyes where welling up with venom.  I am glad you are enjoying the story otherwise! :-D

Reviewer: Sheeijan (Signed) · Date: April 30, 2010 12:57 PM · On: Finding What is Lost

Well I can't help but wonder what the wolves had planned to do with Bella? Were they really going to tear her apart? What about Jacob? I was a little surprised that Bella didn't think anything about Charlie though in the previous chapter, I guess she was trying to deal with one thing at a time? She sure didn't hesitate to speak her mind about what the Cullens did to her - she didn't sugarcoat that at all. I'm trying to mentally picture her as she says that and I can only come up with her being bitter. I'm not sure if that's what you were going for or not.

Thanks for sharing!

Author's Response:

I have to say, you may have a point about Charlie. I did kind of forget about that part. As far as the wolves go, I did try to work them into this story but they seem to want their own spin off story. The little divas are having issues with being written though. Look for that sometime in the future.

As far as Bella being bitter goes, she is a bit. She has been abandoned by all those she has opened herself to. (Remember that this includes Jacob at this point in new moon.) All she has left now is her hullicinations.  I think if you had been put into her place you might be a tad on the bitter side as well.
