As much as I want to rush straight to the sequel, I would be remiss if I didn't stop to leave a quick review after all your hard work in bringing this to us.  Thank you for sharing your intriguing and unusual story.  It is so different from most Twilight fanfics I've read, and, though it took me a few chapters to adapt to all the changes, I have enjoyed the journey.

This is an interesting twist - having some of (SM's human) Bella's traits on a human Edward - such as being clumsy, bashfull, and feeling inferior to the beautiful and talented vampire.  I'm guessing that Edward's not being "affected" by her presence means he is also going to have something like the equivalent of the shield Bella has in the books???

If I recall correctly, the posting date on this story preceeds the 10th anniversary of Twilight's (the book) release and, so, would be written before SM did the gender flip of all her characters (minus Charlie & Renee') in Life and Death.  I know many people have given terrible reviews of that book - though it appears that is mostly due to their irritation that it essentially told the same tale as Twillight with only the genders and ending changed (of course, when I read those reviews on Amazon & Goodreads, it was all I could do not to respond to them by asking if they even bothered to read the blurb before purchasing it.  Given it is stated as being the same basic tale but with the gender flip and explains that SM did this because many people didn't understand that Edward was not the strong guy always having to save save the weak girl but that he was an immortal vampire in love with a fragile human).  So, I'm very interested to see how you develop these characters - hoping you will do as well as SM did demonstrating that it has nothing to do with gender and everything to due with the enormous disparity between the two types of beings.  It was their love that bridged the gap, bringing the their two worlds together.

There's just so much to love about this chapter!

The part about Flutterby's and Butterflies was so fun!  I'm not certain I've heard about that before, but just goes to show the power of popular fiction on our lives! :D  The lovemaking in that theme was quite glorious as well.  Delightfully poetic and sensual.

Think his first time taking her to La Tour Eiffel and proposing during lovemaking would be divine, but think I'll be quite pleased with what your fantastic imagination conjures up for them!!  I so enjoy the male and female perspectives of this fic, and hers about not needing him to "top himself' and his desire to do so are just so fun! 

Loving the design and construction plans for the theatre!  Wondering if the builing really has windows like you are describing?  I'm guessing it's UV glass?  Can't wait to see.  And I'm wondering if Jake is considering asking Rose to be become a vamp (or would his blood make her like him?) in order to spend eternity with him?  Not sure what else the need would be.  Or is it so he can feel free to leave Bella and follow canon form and quit morphing to age with Rose?  So enjoy pondering.

Bravo on the letter to and from Esme as well as the locket!!!  I almost got misty eyed with Esme!!  :D

Sooo glad I finally was able to break some time free to read! But my trip to see my best fic friends and beta (new best friend) was so wonderful, I can't complain!

Mmm, Spain sounds so gorgeous.  This has inspired me to learn more about it. I'm shocked at how little I really know about it and Portugal.

The underwater explorations were sublime for me.  That would just be the best!  And since I am half Norwegian the Viking ship really struck a chord with me.

Jake's song and poetry filled me with warm and hopeful tenderness for him.  Love the trio's interactions.   Such a good friend to sit up front and mentally sing "La la la - I can't hear you" to himself. 

I'm guessing the cliff doesn't end in deep water, so the carriage would be shattered and so sunlight allowed to enter?!  Not good!  I'm quite worried for Jake, but trusting in his healing abilites and so trying not to freak out! :D  Besides, we have to see what Rose thinks of his love gestures, he can't have anything permanent happen!

Excellent chappy!  Keeping my fingers crossed that B and E just end up with a smorgasbord out of the situation and not as crispy critters!  ;D
