I traveled a lot for work and always had my laptop within arm's reach. I was stuck in an airport and - on a complete whim - downloaded the first Twilight book. Honestly, I felt a little silly doing it at the time, but I couldn't stand reading one more report or spreadsheet; I figured it would be a good mental-break and occupy my forever-on, OCD mind. Well, long story short, by the time I arrived home, I'd read all four books, hadn't slept, my eyes physically ached, and I was completed hooked on the world Stephenie Meyer had created. My entry into the world of fanfiction was a bit more deliberate, but not by much - a Google search led me to Twilighted and a new addiction was born.
My fanfic is called Beautiful Lies. I had always wanted to know more about Bella's depression in New Moon. When I was thinking about that one day, her sleep talking entered my mind, and - just like that - the hook of my story was hatched: What if, in her incoherent state of depression, Bella's sleeping lips betray her and tell the Cullens' secret? The story is dark and twisty. Although the story opens in a mental hospital, it quickly leaves after the first chapter and never looks back.
In her incoherent state after Edward leaves her in the forest, Bella's sleeping lips betray her: "Edward is a vampire and I will be one too." Although the story opens in a mental hospital, it quickly leaves after the first chapter and never looks back... AU/Dark: This is not your typical AU-New-Moon story line. The first few chapters are somewhat normal, but the story then takes a quick and hard turn into a very AU.
