Summary: Feature

This is Edward's side of the bedroom reunion scene in eclipse (Chapter 8: Temper, pages 185-195).

Many thanks to psymom and MarcyJ for very thorough and extremely helpful betas - they're amazing!

As usual, all the regular disclaimers apply: Stephenie Meyer owns all things twilight; no money is being made from this work; and absolutely no copyright infringement is intended. The dialog from eclipse here is copied only for clarity. Thanks to Stephenie for creating such wonderful characters!

One other note: I am a member of team Switzerland - I do not dislike Jacob, so don't be upset with me. Edward, on the other hand, has his own opinions...

In Edward's words...

I've read this another place and I still get worked up over it.  Ever think of doing the climatic epilogue from Eclipse?  You know, the whole "I love you.  I want you.  Right now." scene?  Sends shivers down my spine!

Author's Response:

Yup, that one's on the list... :-)  I think the proposal scene will be first though.  :-)
thanks, Mizra!  -blondie

I've been reading through this and found a great stopping point for a review.  This is fantastic!  Edward and Bella making a bet about who plans the best date.  Something I'm sure they would have done.

This was my favorite, however.  Edward actually had trouble doing something.  I admit, however, I've never tried tying a cherry stem into a knot.

Overall, the plot is good and loose, room for almost anything to happen.  I can't wait to hear about the Cullens going cosmic bowling.  That's the highlight of the evening in my neck of the woods.

Author's Response: Edward + whipped cream would be a delicious dessert!

Okay, I'm forcing myself to stop reading long enough to post a review.

Of all the 'powers' Bella has had in the fanfics I've read, this is the one I imagined her having.  It firts her completely and is so closely related to how the canon of Twilight has been written, one would think that you and Stephenie were in collab with each other!

Wonderful work, all the way around!

Final Authors' Note

Roo: (stunned) So I just finished reading Breaking Dawn…

Marcy: (stunned) Erm…me too…

Roo: Wow. We thought that we had a hilarious joke going on.

Marcy: The worst plot idea imaginable.

Roo: “Pregnant vampire Bella joins the army.”

Marcy: Stephenie Meyer outdid us, crackfic wise.

Roo: She gave us “Pregnant human Bella gets a half-vamp mutant torn from her womb as Edward chews through her placenta before turning into a vampire anddefeating the army.”

Marcy: That makes our story look pretty tame and believable.

Roo: All that silliness that we came up with about Bella being a mind-shield and the Volturi being afraid of her…

Marcy: Who could have forseen that that was actually TRUE?? Unbelievable…

Roo: I was going to have Jake imprint on Jane, thinking that it would be funny and outrageous.

Marcy: Little did we know that Jake would imprint on the infant half-vamp mutant torn from Bella’s womb. Jake gets paired with Edward’s kid?? That takes "outrageous" to a whole new level.

Roo: And so the puppy fell in love with the baby sea monster.

Marcy: Stupid crackbook. Sick maschoistic readers.

Roo: Raises questions about what half-werewolf/shapeshifter, quarter-human, quarter-vampire people would be like. Ew.

Marcy: One of those aliens from “The Host” must have snatched Stephenie Meyer’s body. It’s the only explanation for how bizarre Breaking Dawn was.

Roo: The staff at “Twilighted” said that if someone had submitted Breaking Dawn as a fanfic that they would have put it in the “Alternative Universe” or “Crackfic” sections.

Marcy: Probably “Crackfic.”

Roo: So anyways…there’s not really a point in continuing this story any more now is there?

Marcy: Probably not. We’ve been outcracked.

Roo: So we’re jumping ship.

Marcy: Yep.

Roo: But fret not, faithful readers!! More crack will be coming your way!

Marcy: New realms of weirdness wait in our imagination! Now that NOTHING would surprise us, we know no limits!

Roo: Angela could be a witch!

Marcy: Ben could be the invisible man!

Roo: Mike Newton could be a merman!

Marcy: The Cullens could take Nessie trick-or-treating!

Roo: Hey! That sounds like a GREAT idea for a fic!

Marcy: It will be our next project!

Brotherhood by blondie, Roo Rated: PG-13 starstarstarstarstar [Reviews - 98]

The Cullen boys go hunting. Jasper can't stop quoting the Princess Bride, Emmett can't stop quoting Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and Edward, rather put out, responds with Shakespeare. Hilarity ensues! Cowritten with the awesomely funny Roo and the Edward-centric blondie!

Amazingly in canon - believe it or not!

Perfect!!!  Now I'd love to see a Princess Bride/Twilight crossover.  Would it be deliciously possible? :)

Author's Response: You're going to have to write that one, Mizra, but I could definitely see it... hahahaha.  Thanks for the reviews!

Seducing Ms Swan by Rialle Rated: PG-13 starstarstarstarstar [Reviews - 3026]

AU Post-New Moon.

Bella never jumped, Alice never had her vision and Edward never came back. Six years later, Bella is struggling to make a new life for herself as a teacher in Rochester, New York. How will she fare when a very familiar student crops up in her classroom? Will she be able to remain professional, or will old ties get in the way?

Edward is convinced that getting Bella back is just a matter of 'persuasion', but Bella isn't prepared to be that cooperative. What's more, she's in the grip of a dark secret which threatens to prevent her from loving ever again.

Bella Swan is slipping under...

HOLY FREAKIN" CROW!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sure missed a lot since I read this last.  You were only up to chapter 3 or 4.  Now I'm left with this whopper of a cliffhanger.... and I just don't know what to do with myself.  You write brilliantly, with the fervor I love Bella having and the stupid idiocy of Edward's so-called "I left you because I loved you" plan.  It seems to stupid now, not noble at all.

Did I mention you write brilliantly?  I ABSOLUTELY LOVE that you have an actual honest-to-goodness argument between Bella and Edward.  It's so rare to hear that, the confrontation between the two.

I loved Breaking Dawn, all the books, but this should be right up there with them.  The New Moon AU book.  I love it!

Author's Response:

Lol, has it really been that long since you last checked in? Wow, that must have been one marathon reading session then :D

So glad you're enjoying it and I'm pleased you agree with me over Edward and Bella's argument. It's about time they did more than just stare at each other with gooey smiles.

Oh my Gosh, thank you! <3

Wow, oh, wow.  I knew there had to be some way Edward would save her.  She couldn't just die... not now.

But what about Brady?  And Jake?  As much as it pains me to ask about Jacob, I have to.  I have to know what's going on there.

And will Bella really be alright?  Thislong hiatus really left me pondering... thinking... will Bella and Edward be able to come together again, can he "atone" for what he had done to her.

Thank you for finally updating.  I relished reading every minute of it!

As for a summary, you're right about it no longer being about seduction but rather atoning. What happens when true love, thought to be long gone and dead, is revived?  How does one handle the emotional baggage of having to start over again?  How does one truly forgive the other for their past enough to trust them again?  This is what the story is about: trust, forgiveness and, hopefully, the reviving of true love.

Author's Response:

You always leave such great, thoughtful reviews and I love you for it <3

Aaaaaah Jake. Well, it's the world'sworstkeptsecret that I am a HUGE Jacob fan, so that might give you a hint as to whether he's going to make another guest appearance...

I'm glad you liked the update, thank you very much!

Those are some interesting ideas for the summary, thank you! I'm going to give it more thought tomorrow when I'm not so tired. If I use any of your ideas I'll be sure to credit you. (And give you your 'prize' of a free plot-related question lol).

Have a nice weekend! <3

I've said it before and I'll say it again: as much as it pains to read any separation on the part of a fandom canon couple, I enjoy how you are taking the time to challenge Bella as a character, to force her to change her perspective and herself in ways she hadn't, and quite maybe had, imagined.

I do hope for a positive resolution. I'm a sap and old-fashioned that way. :)

I still stick to my guns and say that even if this is a heart-wrenching chapter, it's your choice to take the characters where you want. And I badly want to see a resolution, so I'm sticking with you. Keep going!

Summary: Alice throws Bella a surprise bachelorette party in a posh Portland Penthouse, complete with risque games, embarrassing gifts, tequila shots, a stripper named Emmett, and a night out on the town bar-hopping. Hilarity ensues as Bella is more surprised than pleased.

I always wondered a little more about Esme's story.  It's so much like Edward and Bella's, what with a human falling in love with a vampire.

And I can imagine Esme being extremely stubborn.  She reminds me of my mother.  And most likely, myself as well.

 Nice job!

Bella Swan spent the first two years of her life in Forks developing a friendship with Jacob Black that finally turned into something more.  As she begins her senior year of high school, a new family moves to town and Bella slowly begins to question the path she thought her life would follow.  Sometimes there is a difference between what you think you need and what you never knew you wanted.  Takes place during the timeframe of New Moon and Eclipse.  J/B at first, but eventually E/B.

It's so fantastic and refreshing to read something canon, but not canon. Sticks with the same ideas, but runs in a different direction with them.

So, yeah, I'm an IVO fan now, too.  Great work and I look forward to more chapters!

So this is the infamous "No Edward, I'm drunk" part. I've been wondering when it came up.  I rather like this interpretation a lot (if not more than the original).  It adds more realism to the impossibily unrealistivc story. Great chapter!

Author's Response:

I didn't know that line was "infamous," but I'll take that label anyway. ;)  Teenage drinking in a small town is hard to avoid, so I thought it was pretty realistic.  Glad you did, too.

1) Gooey fluff "awww" moment: Awww, he bought her a new pumpkin!

2) Thank you for making the painfully obvious more outstanding. If I were Bella in Sm's version of Twilight, I'd be acting like your Bella. Talking myself out of it all, trying to not fall head-over-heels in lust with a boy I hardly knew. (Of course, that wouldn't prove fruitful and I would still fall head-over-feet for said boy. Argh.)

Reviewer: Mizra Signed

I'm really having a hard time keeping it together here. Maybe it's because this feels like re-reading Chapter 3 of New Moon all over again. Or maybe it's because it's 1:00 in the morning and I'm still reading.

Whatever the case, I'm an incredibly heartbroken sobbing mess now, thank you very much. But I'll manage. Because this is the single most awesome way to have her declare her love and him reject her that I've read thus far.  I could see it play out in my mind, just like it would as a movie.

I inexplicably love how you have Bella classify herself as a monster for loving Edward, whom thinks he is the ultimate monster. It's an idea I hadn't thought of before, but inherently true, no matter the situation (both in fanfic and canon). We would all feel like this (or I would) if we dropped a secure, stable future for a tumultous, exciting love affair with a "dangerous" man.

I can't send comments and reviews (on the side of near worshipful) enough, so I'll just say thank you, keep my Kleenex box handy and plunder on in the morning.
