When the pawn hits the conflicts he thinks like a king
What he knows throws the blows when he goes to the fight
And he'll win the whole thing before he enters the ring
There's no body to batter when your mind is your might
So when you go solo, you hold your own hand
And remember that depth is the greatest of heights
And if you know where you stand, then you know where to land
And if you fall it won't matter, cuz you'll know that you're right.
PREVIEW OF THE NEXT CHAPTER OF, "SUNRiSE"
"When she reached the bathroom, she realized she left her toothbrush in the car. And she desperately needed it at this time. She quickly took care of her, 'business', and went back to the living, grabbed the car keys and ran out the door. But not before pulling on her slippers, a flashlight, and the blanket that rested on the of the sofa, all she had on at this point was her shirt. 'Mental note, buy pajama bottoms.' she thought to herself as she reached the car.
When she found her supply bag, ('supplies' meaning nail polish, acne medication, and dental care items) she heard the rustle of leaves, and quickly shined her flashlight to the direction of the sound. Khadijah was afraid of speaking. She slammed the car door shut and walked a few steps forward, the flashlight shining the path ahead.
The creature, which was a muddy brown and quite large, froze when the light struck it. Khadijah couldn't tell what kind of animal it was, at first. As she got closer, it's features became recoginizable of that of a dog, it stood its ground when she approached it. She initially thought it was a stray, there was no collar, but as she got closer, she stopped.
It wasn't a dog."
