The White Rabbit series by casket4mytears
[ - ]
Summary:

A series of stories in canon with Meyer's books, but branching off into its own original world. The White Rabbit series is centred on Alice, from her time as a human, to being turned by her 'White Rabbit', to her search with Jasper in Breaking Dawn and stories reaching beyond. The series will serve up both longer stories and shorter tales along the way.

It is strongly recommended that you begin with Down The Rabbit Hole, which establishes the basic new canon I have created for Alice, which will feature in future stories to come. The rest of the stories are meant to be written in a way to allow the reader to pick and choose at the order.

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

Summary:

Down The Rabbit Hole graphic by casket4mytears

After departing Forks with the rest of the Cullen family, Alice becomes increasingly preoccupied with the information revealed to Bella by James about her life as a human and the vampire who changed her. Told partially through flashback and through present-day (read: during the New Moon time span) events, Down The Rabbit Hole explores the details of how Alice comes to an understanding of her past.

"I read that letter, just last week
You were telling me the darkness had taken you
and it had only lasted a week
I don't know where your saviour is...
Check the back room
He's writing the book that describes the end
as you're passing this life

Now I see it: it's a doorway
It's a doorway to my love..."

Summary:

The first of several 'alternate takes' on chapters from the stories of The White Rabbit series, this one-shot is a stand-alone that can be read without knowing any other story in the series, simply keeping this in mind:  taking place during New Moon, Alice and Jasper are off in Mississippi to try and learn more about her mortal life.  This is what chapter 15 of Down The Rabbit Hole could have been, if I'd been working with an NC-17 and indulged my desire to write a lemon.

In other words, this is a one-shot of pure smut.  Alice and Jasper demonstrate why they love having a shower to themselves.

So sit back, get cozy, and prepare to envy Alice as much as I do.  A litle helping of smut does a reader good!

When Alice's visions reveal the Volturi's horrfying plans to descend upon the Cullen family, armed with Irina's testimony of an immortal child sighted in their care, she enlists Jasper's aid in seeking out the one hope that may spare all of their lives... if they return alive.

This story serves to fill in Alice and Jasper's adventures away from the Cullen family during Breaking Dawn, and is second in an intended series based strongly in existing canon. That said, it is highly recommended that the first story in the series, Down The Rabbit Hole, be read, as parts of the created canon/backstory for Alice Cullen will become relevant down the road in this story as well. As with DTRH, this story draws on allusions to Alice's Adventures In Wonderland and Through The Looking-Glass, And What Alice Found There by Lewis Carroll.

Rated NC-17 for violence, language and a dash of lemons. This story will occassionally contain dialogue and text from Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer for clarity and continuity; no infringement is intended and all chapters will be noted accordingly in that instance.

Note (May 13/09): The White Rabbit series now has its own blip.fm account, complete with ever-growing playlist of songs that influence the stories for you to stream.   Check it out here:  blip.fm/aliceswhiterabbit
