You do an excellent job of portraying the struggle that Edward has with his own nature. I also appreciate how the more he gives in to his vampire nature, the more it takes over. That's so realistic. Well done!

Author's Response: I did to, that is why I wrote this one. I think that it will explain a lot about our Edward and why he does the things that he does.

Lingering in the dark is good for awhile, it makes the good Edward so much more broody, don't you think? A good start! I hope that you continue through the end.
Author's Response: Lingering does explain a lot of his brooding, what comes next will explain a lot of his views of himself. I am contiunuing through to the end, next chapter will be up soon.

Excellent, there aren't nearly enough stories examining The Rebel Years. Just imagine it, three years of having their nightmarish filth in your head every day? It's a wonder the poor boy came back sane!
Author's Response: Thank you, and I agree there are not enough stories about htis time. Thus my reason for writing one. I think that this period in his life helps to explain his mind set as of now. He has a reason to believe he is a soul less monster. He never once says that all vampires are that way, just him. He does not leave the same person, I can assure you
