poor Edward :'-(
his pain is so clear in this story. i seriously wish you would just write Midnight Sun already and stop teasing me with these marvelous vignettes! (sigh) in any case, I love your EPOVs, and this ranks among the best of them.

Ah the agony.  But it would have been nice if you went just a few min further.  I wondered if anyone else thought Edward ran, or if he waited, did he hear her call his name when she realized--when she woke just that second from her fog--or did he just go.  I guess I know your thoughts.  Edward was an idiot .  Ah I so love it.  Thanks

Truly heartbreaking!  I always love reading the story from Edwards perspective as long as he is in character, and here, here he is definitely in character.  I especially loved the intro!!!  What a great way to sum up the whole mess!  Greaty job.

Author's Response:

Thank you!  It's always lovely to here that I've got Edward in character.  I just love writing from his perspective.

I LOVE YOUR STORIES. ALLOF THEM. Especially the stories where you write from Edward's perspective. I can't find the words to describe how much I love this. I literally cried just as I did in New Moon. You really should become a writer...

Author's Response:

Thank you so much again - I love your reviews!

And I most definately want to be a writer.  I can only hope that someday all this practice pays off!

I cried my eyes out, almost as much as I cried when I read the actual scene in new moon for the first time.. it's lessened since then cause I've read it so often, but a new pov brings the crying back. yay me. haha jk. but I loved it <3

Author's Response:

Aww, thank you, so much.  Sorry I made you cry - although I know that next month we'll all need tissues for this scene! :)

Reviewer: amazeofgrace (Signed) · Date: September 06, 2009 06:26 PM · On: For Her

this was so very "perfect" out of all the variations I have read this was the one that fit. SM would be proud  :)

Author's Response:

Thank you.  I'm so glad you thought it could fit into the actual story. :)

Reviewer: lindaneale (Signed) · Date: August 19, 2009 04:33 PM · On: For Her

This was just beautiful and heartbreaking.  A very important piece of the puzzle.  Thank you.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for the review and rating.  I'm so glad you liked the story. x

Wait -- you're only 17?  Really?

Amazing.....

Your talent far exceeds your years.  I am very impressed.  This is exactly what I imagined Edward thinking and feeling during that scene.  You have quite a knack for descriptive writing.

Keep up the good work!

Author's Response:

Heh, yes, I'm seventeen.  Like Bella, I was born middle-aged. :)

Glad you liked it.  New Moon has always fascinated me - particularly because it's based entirely on a lie; on this moment.  Edward's perspective of New Moon fascinates me, and though I could never write the whole thing, I like focusing on particular important scenes from his PoV.  I'm so glad you like my writing style.  Thanks for reviewing! x

Reviewer: ChelseyBelle (Signed) · Date: June 03, 2009 12:42 AM · On: For Her

This definitely brought me to tears. This is the hardest part of the series for me as I went through something so like it in my own life. It's different, seeing it from his point of view. I've always seen it through Bella's, my own point of view. Never from his. It makes me wonder about my own Edward Cullen and what he thought when it happened...

Author's Response:

I keep saying thank you but it doesn't get repetitive because I really, really mean it! :D

I'm so glad you enjoyed it.  This one was tough to write.  It's hard enough reading the series from Bella's point of view and imagining how Edward felt in this moment, but it was actually painful to write this...

As always, you capture everything to the point. Even after having read several versions of that scene you never cease to amaze me with your insight into Edward's tortured soul.

Beautiful. :)

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for your kind words.  One of the reasons I hesitated in writing this scene was because I knew it had been done before.  But I love getting into Edward's mind, and moments like these are what really define him as a character.  I'm so glad you liked it!

my hand is up!! i love your stories

Author's Response:

Thanks!  Edward really does need that hug.  :D

Reviewer: twimom79 (Signed) · Date: April 20, 2009 10:03 AM · On: For Her

Oh my... that was so hard to read through my sobs, how sad!!!!!! Again I''m so impressed with your way of bringing Edward's pov across with so much depth and emotion. YOU'VE GOT SO MUCH TALENT! I'll be watching for your book on the New York Times best seller list! Amazing!

Author's Response:

*blush* Thanks... again.  :D

I keep saying thanks, but really, I can't express how thankful I am for all the amazing reviews.  They mean so much to me. x

Reviewer: Antonia Cullen (Signed) · Date: April 19, 2009 06:58 PM · On: For Her

I actually cried when I read this, it's so sad. :(

Author's Response:

Thanks for the lovely review and rating!  I'm sorry it made you cry, but I'm so glad my work was able to evoke that kind of emotion. :)

Reviewer: edbellafan (Signed) · Date: April 08, 2009 02:56 PM · On: For Her

Sigh....I despised this moment intensely in New Moon because I knew he was leaving to save her.  Darn, selfless Edward....ripping his heart out to save the only girl he's ever loved....sigh....

This story is so powerful.  Well done as always.  I told you I'd be working my way through your stories...and I have loved them all so far!  :o)

Author's Response:

Thanks for another great review!

I seem to have an addiction for writing EPOV New Moon fics - this, Thy Beauty, The Angel Illusion... it's just a fascinating era to explore!  I'm so glad you liked this one too. :)

Reviewer: Anazarel (Signed) · Date: April 07, 2009 01:10 PM · On: For Her

*Raise hand* Me too!

This POV is amazing, like Thy Beauty. I'm Spanish speaker, but I prefer reading in English. maybe I read this in Spanish, too. I don't know...

Author's Response:

Thanks for reading and reviewing!

I just can't get enough of EPOV in New Moon - including this and 'Thy Beauty' and my other one-shot 'The Angel Illusion', I've basically written the whole thing from his perspective!  New Moon was my favourite book and Edward is my favourite character, so it's just something I've always been fascinated by.

And I don't speak much Spanish, so I can't really judge it, but if you do read the translation, be sure to leave the girl a review - she's so lovely.

Reviewer: The Old One (Signed) · Date: March 20, 2009 07:42 PM · On: For Her

I never really "got" Edward's so-called reasoning for leaving in New Moon.  Your story gets inside his head, explains how he's choosing to sacrifice himself.  Excellent work, so true to character, and well-written!

Author's Response:

Thank you!  I love getting inside Edward's head - he's one of the most fascinating characters out there.  I'm glad you thought I got his point of view across! x

Reviewer: daylightdawn (Signed) · Date: March 14, 2009 09:11 PM · On: For Her

Oh, God, my heart is about to burst. I think I cried. Oh, Edward, you idiot. Sigh. Well, wonderful, beautiful, extraordinary well-done job. Can't say anymore. Gotta go break down now.

Author's Response:

Thanks!  I randomly burst into hysterics and tears while writing this one.  Edward is such an idiot in New Moon.

As much as I love that my writing could have such an effect on anyone, sorry for making you sad!  Blame Edward - if he wasn't so adorable when angsty, I wouldn't have written it! :)

Reviewer: KS123 (Signed) · Date: March 12, 2009 10:30 AM · On: For Her

Well, I am so happy I found your stories.  Although, you did make me cry with this one!  Beautiful work here.

Author's Response:

Thank you!  Your review is so sweet, and I'm so glad you liked this story - though I'm sorry for making you cry! x

Reviewer: bondgirl (Signed) · Date: March 10, 2009 12:23 PM · On: For Her

AAWWW! This was so incredibly sad, I felt like crying throughout! WHY did Edward do it to her, and himself.

Excellent story from Edward's point of view, you are a truly brilliant writer!

Author's Response:

Thank you!  Despite the  sadness of this scene, I truly loved it in terms of characteristics and I just knew that I wanted to write it from Edward's perspective.  I'm glad you enjoyed it! x

Reviewer: BrittanyAgd (Signed) · Date: March 02, 2009 06:02 AM · On: For Her

Oh my gosh! This was wonderful! I cried like a baby!

Author's Response:

Thank you!

(And I apologise for making you cry.  Blame my inner Edward.  He told me to write it!)

Reviewer: mscope (Signed) · Date: January 25, 2009 08:59 PM · On: For Her

I do believe your version with Edwards inner thoughts is even sadder than Stephanies version.  I always hated that he left.

As always I am blown away by your insight  and ability to channel the Twilight characters.  If Stephanie ever reads any fan fiction, any at all, I hope she reads yours.  She would beso ver pleased.

Author's Response:

Thanks!

New Moon was always my favourite book in the series, simply because their seperation was so heartbreakingly sad that even though Edward was absent, Bella's love for him- and his love for her -was put into the foreground, and every action or descion Bella made seemed to reflect that.  And when a character's emotions are powerful enough to alter a whole story with their absence, you know that it's something special.  And so, this scene especially intrigued me, and I couldn't resist writing it in Edward's words. x

I have officially become one of your biggest fans! After reading Thy Beauty I cannot seem to get enough.

For Her is one of my favorites. It captures extremely deep emotions that many people never feel and do not understand, but deep emotions that you were able to portray flawlessly.

It takes an extremely talented writer to have a reader understand the emotions of a character in a story, and an even better writer to have a reader feel those emotions. For Her is one of those stories where the reader is so absorbed by Edwards emotions, they feel his pain.

I cannot wait to read your International Best Seller!

Thank you so much again for sharing your work.

Author's Response:

Wow... thank you, again!  For Her was one of my favourites to write; Edward's perspective in New Moon has always fascinated me, and angsty romance has always been one of my favourite genres to explore.  I'm always just... so overwhelmed when I recieve reviews like this!  I love to write more than anything, but it never quite occured to me when I started fanfiction to improve my writing that other people would like it too.  Every review I get encourages me to write more.

Thanks again!

Jeez, you weren't kidding about the similarities between our two fics!!!  They are definitely different, but grasping as some of the same core themes and styles in the same ways...just...wow...creepy, lol!  Hopefully this doesn't sound too pretentious, but I could almost see my story as following right after yours, with almost the exact same Edward telling both stories.

I must say, you have an exquisit way with words, so much of this story was so raw and powerful...  And yes, I do want to give Edward a big squishy hug, but at the same time I want to kick him in the head for being so selfishly selfless...but then again, that's how I usually feel about him, so in my opinion you definitely captured his character exactly :-)

Author's Response:

I know!  It's scarily similar, yet different enough to see that it's just two fanfic authors with the same grasp on the characters.  And no, it doesn't sound pretentious at all, I can totally see your fic following.  It's just so wierd that it follows exactly, with the same style et cetera... I was reading yours, thinking it sounds almost like the same writer!  I would have belived it was, if I hadn't known otherwise.  Unless I'm becoming schitzoprenic... *is suddenly scared that I have a dual personality*

We both obviously just know our beloved Edward very well ;)

This is absolutely heartbreaking.  I'm not a huge angst fan usually, I like the "we're back together and we love each other forever" stuff, but you are such a terrific writer, I always love your stories.  You seem to know these characters deeply as well as or better than anyone, and are able to so fully convey their emotions and thoughts.  This story is brilliant angst.  I  understand for the first time how Edward could believe that he was doing the right thing for Bella by leaving, and how terribly hard it was for him.  Thank you for writing this.  I look forward to more from you in the future.

Author's Response:

Thanks for such a lovely review.  The one thing I can ever really take pride in myself on is having a good judge of character, both in real life and stories, so I'm really pleased that you think it's come across in my work.  I think that Twilight, being a love story essentially, deals with very character based plots, so it's always so easy for me to pick up the characters and the emotions.  So really, it's all Stephenie, because she gave me such good material to work with! :)

Thanks again for the review and rating! x

Wow...Just....wow. I totally cried. I...WOW! I'm so speechless. -bows at your feet- I think I need that squishy hug, instead of Edward. lol

Author's Response:

*Gives you squishy hug*

Thanks.  The response for this story has just been... well, it's left me speechless too. :)
