That was intense! And, now that Samson is back in the picture, I can just imagine how much more intense things will get. Cannot WAIT til the next update. I kinda do a fangirl squeal every time I get an email notification that you've updated this story. So much for dignity. ;-)

oooooh noooo...well like you said we should have known he would make an appearance sooner or later. I am so enthralled with this version of Edward. His worst characteristics are magnified but I guess I'm a sucker for him in any event because I love him even more...I wouldn't mind comforting him...LOL...

Oh, you are so mean to Edward! I know he probably deserves it (although, in my heart I can't condemn him) but Bella is in much greater danger from Samson than she is from Edward, who at least loves her and wants to be a better person for her. He can't now return to the island but dare he and Emmett take on a vampire who may have connections to the Volturi? Samson has a very scary gift which could well seriously harm them both, and although it's likely Bella won't be affected by it, she has no defences against him if anything happens to the Cullen brothers. This just keeps getting worse. Perhaps the only way out is to change Bella before it's too late - or maybe it will even be forced upon her.

Hmmm, since he doesn't have a pathological need for her, maybe Samson would take better care of Bella ... She's not his singer, so it is conceivable that he could control his blood lust enough to only 'harvest' from her periodically, as Edward has been doing. But without all the drama and codependency. Interesting thought.

Of course Samson's back! I had a feeling he was keeping tabs on them. I still wonder how Bella is going to forgive him. And, wouldn't the officers be more gentle and understanding instead of coercing? In the U.S., they wouldn't be able to do anything if she wasn't pressing charges, so I think that's why they were trying to convince her to sign.

Yes, I am quite aware that he is not right in the head. It is indeed very much in question whether he ever can be. In real life relationships such as you describe they usually end with the death of the abused party.

Well, he got out on a pass, didn't he? Without Emmett and Jasper's contacts, I don't know where Edward would be right now! I'm glad that Bella is at least talking to him again, but he should at least attempt to make restitution to the nurse's family. I also think Bella should call Charlie and let him know she's OK.
As for Samson, perhaps if Emmett helps Edward against Samson's power, he can be defeated? Will we know in the next chapter? Come on now!

I really don't understand why the Cullen's---especially Carlilse, doesn't realize that Edward has not only found his "singer" but also his mate. He is battling two fronts. The fact that Edward is doing this well is to be commended. Edward needs his family supporting him----not judging him!
How can they be so ignorant?
