Wow. Just wow.
That was so moving, and so beautiful considering it was the story of how she died. I love the way you've written the present and then past memories together so that they flow perfectly.
The fact that you have repeated 'I'm sorry' over and over really gets the message accross that during that time Jasper didn't like feeding on human blood but he had no other choice.
Just beautiful :)
Jasper's my favourite character and possibly my favourite stories from his pov or at least based around him are when they delve into his past. Pages 290 onwards or should I just say Chapter 13: Newborn is my favourite chapter ever in all the books. Because its Jasper's back story.
loved that chapter in Eclipse, and loved this chapter too.

This was recommended to me by SunKing. Her exact words were "wow. I just read a fanfic one-shot. wow". Coming from her this is a tremendous compliment and how could I have ignored something so praised. Her judgement did not disappoint. This story has left me awash with emotions. It seems you transmit them through your words as well as Jasper would. The hairs on my arms are still upright and your words reverberate in my mind over and over. I don’t think I have ever seen Jasper this beautiful, or this repulsive all in one. I have never understood him better. And to show him through the senses of his victim in such a clear-cut yet murky way…to make it at times hard to understand where the victim’s feelings end and his start and yet, leave no question about it… is astonishing.
And so I concur: wow.

Wow. That was absolutely...wow. I honestly don't have words. I believe this story tells more about Jasper than any other story I've ever read, and yet it's not even in his point of view. Seriously masterful work. I'll be telling everyone.
