I am LOVING this story. It's kind of weird. I am not normally a fan of Rob stories but I fell in love with this one (especially the whole George Clooney moment LMAO!) as well as the Rob/Missy one you keep pimping. There was another one called Just this once, but it was removed from the board and only the additional outtakes were posted. But you write a great story. Keep it coming!

Beautifully done, dearest. Loved it. But I'm sad. Goodbyes suck, separations suck more. Thank goodness for Mack Truck. I was hoping she'd get something out of him. In the end, Nick may write the checks but he works for Rob. So his loyalties are clear, and it's obvious what's best for Rob. It ain't Nick. JS.
Of course, you know I'm about fried from separations. What is it about this poor man that prevents us from giving him someone who will give up their life to stay by his side at all times? Oh yeah, that's right, it's our obsession with realism. Sorry. Lost my head.
I have to go to sleep or I'd say more. And you've got enough to do putting chapter 359 on paper to waste time responding to me. It's almost midnight our time... if I wait to click submit for another three minutes, it will only be 35 days. But then I won't have anything to crow about tomorrow.

Yay!!!! I don't care if this doesn't mesh with real life or not. I never want these stories to end. I love this story and I hope she really isn't sterile. She never said exactly why she couldn't get pregnant. And if that's not possible, maybe a surrogate or adoption. There's always a way, especially if you have money.

ah her pregnancy issues... there is always adoption...and maybe surrogacy... it is true, she never said why she can't... i have kept it vague as she maybe doesn't know exactly what the reasons are. She was told when she was grieving, so that time was hazy for her.
there are always options, with the right amount of money....

Hi, love! Oh, jealous Rob... what is it about that man that makes him so insecure. I really hope the Pack gave him what for. They should have been furious. He never even told her, she completely entertained them, and he went all CAVEMAN on her? She's a forgiving soul. Rob or no Rob, I'm not sure he'd have gotten any that night. He's very lucky she loves him.
She's not really astute to the signs, either. I guess when you believe things aren't possible, you just stop looking. You know what I mean?
The trip to the States... she needs to go and get it done. I kind of thought Mr. P might volunteer to go with her. But he's got responsibiities. Poor Jen. I'd hold her hand if I could. So sweet that they can't bear to be away from each other. Really.
This chapter made my heart clench. The emotion was so raw. Loved it. Would have totally smacked him upside the head, but I loved it. Well done, ET! *mwah*

Hi, ET! I'm diving back in! Two chapters tonight, I hope. I had a hard time figuring out where I left off, so if I missed a review I apologize. I knew I'd read the last chapter but couldn't remember if it was because you emailed it or I read it online. And of course I HAD to read HMR and TG watching the telethon. That will forever be a memory that makes me smile. Especially because we were so busy yakking that we actually missed the beginning. Unbelievable! Thank goodness for DVRs and West Coast feeds. *sigh* The night I think I first realized that we needed to search for birth records.
I loved this chapter. First of all, because I love the way you portray the shave. How in the world you can make shaving into a lemon is beyond me, but I bow to your awesomeness! That was amazing. Even better than the actual result of his shaving, cuz we both know how much the claymation beard bothered me. "Bumbles bounce!"
Dinner with the family was amazing. I adore the conversation with Mr. P, and the playful way he ends the discussion. More importantly, though, the way he recognizes that she's more likely to connect to a father figure. She's so concerned about disappointing the women. It breaks my heart. How hard it must be for girls to lose their mothers at such a young age. *sniff* You capture it beautifully and never really harp on it. It's just there. Love it.

You never really explained, or haven't so far, why she says she can't get pregnant. We know she lost her baby in the accident but no details on any injuries...

i have never really explained, as Jen's memory is a little twisted from that time as well... and as we see it all from her POV, we can only know from her... it was a bad time for her.

Hah, well I just turned 41. My ROBsession is pretty deep as well but I've backed off a bit b/c it was making the huz a bit insecure I think. I changed my screen savers to pics of the family and not Rob...
I have an almost 13 y/o daughter who thinks I'm crazy. She was the one who got me hooked on Twilight. Of course, the Rob addiction was all on my own. I do believe Rob is an old soul, (although a goofy one), and an older woman would be just the thing for him.
If he and Kristen are together, I don't really care. I just want him to have someone. If you listen to his recent interviews, it doesn't sound like his is with anyone since he said he'd like to just "go out on a regular date". So who knows.
I like how your story follows his real life activities. Looking forward to reading on. RL kinda of getting in the way!
I loved him in RM and know he's going to be magnificent in Water for Elephants.

I for one don't care what you write about Rob or Kristen, or Jen. It's fiction. It's what you imagine or fantasize so who cares what other people think? I see my Rob different in some ways, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy reading your version of him. I don't have any friends that are ROBsessed so it's nice to read a story by somebody who is.

This chapter had me shaking. The horror of grief not fully dealt with. Did not go to the funeral. Her loss so devastating that she didn't go thru all the stages of grief. She never could talk about it without crying. LOSS. HUSBAND. CHILD. Moved away and left behind the painful memories in a grave she never visited. SHe's visiting them now. Alone. It's taking its toll on her physically. Her mind is making her body shut down. She needs to say goodbye. Nick represents the hideous unfairness that robbed her of her husband and child that rainy night. The mindless cruelty that is life's happenstance. Fateful circumstances made that altered the course of her life with Mike. Nick almost destroyed her life along with Rob. Cruel and heartless. This time she fought back, with a vengeance. This awful circumstance had a name and a face and became the target of repressed rage, past and present. Sometimes we get the opportunity to rage against the unfairness. As for Nick-- too little --too late. Rob has a fierce partner. This chapter really got to me emotionally. I have to remind myself--this is a story. Great job Stef.
Author's Response: thanks so much hun. these chapters were rather hard to write. she is definitely revisiting emotions she pushed to the back of her head. and just geography starts to bring it back. Nick is an excellent symbol of all she lost and almost lost with Rob. Her body is definitely being affected by the stress she is under. until she can get past the loss of Mike and the fears she has with Los Angeles, she will not be able to thrive.

That's so cool you know about the classics. I love music and am excited when it is part of a fan fic story because it makes it more than just words. Music brings more emotion and depth to a story, and to life in general. I love classical music to Depech Mode, Duran Duran, Staind, Josh Groban, and on and on. Unfortunately, I don't know much about classical music but you've inspired me to learn more!
Ok so now I have to ask...how old are you? Do you have a profile somewhere?

About reviews/comments. I feel strongly about making sure i respond to every review comment sent to me. You all make the effort to tell me what you think, it's only fair to respond, as it is so appreciated. As a reader I feel a lot of regret not knowing whether or not an author has read my comment. there is a disconnection there that is sad, considering the wonderful thing about this site is the close interaction between reader and writer. the writer can only benefit... it inspires. now of course if i had as many reviews as Icy, i think i can understand not being to respond to all of them, but i'd at least respond to the long, heartfelt responses. it takes a lot of time for the readers to put together those thoughts, and it shows they care. authors who have fewer reviews, and don't respond, well that makes me sad for them that they are missing out.
as far as age... i feel older than i am some days, and much too young when i feel fangirly... but i am about the same age as Jen. you write what you know...

Author's Response: haha! thanks my dear! he certainly does seem to take care of her, just not something they might want to shout at the dining table... heheh
music background. I did play the cello when i was younger, and i have some musical background. I couldn't go and expound on the merits of timing and structure of Brahms versus Mozart. but i listen to a lot of classical music, worked for the local chamber ensemble.... i wish i had kept up on the cello... but music moves me... much like Jen, music is a language that speaks to me. so i do significant research on the music i pick here for the story. and the music they play truly touches me.

What is the story with the cupcakes?
Author's Response: there are several fan fics that infer them apparently... but my reference is to the fic Clipped Wings and Inked Armour by hunterhunting.... a good read... and one of the stories that Rob has read... and strangely Jen has not. he has uploaded it onto her kindle though... for when she needs something to read....
it is also a sexual reference to misc body parts. pick a pair... and thems your cupcakes... i have had references to my cupcakes being my front pair, but i have heard girls rears also being referred to as cupcakes...
hope that makes sense...

What a chapter lady. Is our Jen terribly ill or what? Is it the obvious, (prego) or big time stress, maybe even some kind of terminal illness? We know that Rob wants her to see a physician, but our Jen is a bit unwilling to see a doc. and for reasons that are understandable. Only you know for sure.
I see how protective our Jen is of our pretty, and rightfully so. That lady is 100% inlove and invested in Rob. How beautiful! She's trying to protect rob from whats stressing her and at the same time it's killing her, and I hope not literally.
I guess I really take to your story because I've been in a younger male/older female relationship a while back. He was 20 and I was 37. Even though we talked a lot there was tons of insecurities on my part; and having a 21 year old son at the time did not help the situation.
You are a gifted storyteller and the number of reviews tell a story too, right? =) BTW...I love your photobucket lady! You make it easy for those that appreciate the pretty. You're a very busy lady and luv ya!

Jen and her illness... it is significant to be sure... and will be dealt with very soon... she is unwilling to see a doctor, because she is stubborn and proud, but also because she is fearful from past encounters... but she will be seeing a doctor, very soon.
Jen is a fiercely loyal partner... so much so it is a fault... just as it is with Rob. they both think they should hold back bad news or stress from the other to protect them, but really, it only serves to hurt more than help... and yes, the stress of hiding her illness and her fears is making her sick.
thank you so much for you kind words. it truly is quite an undertaking for these stories, but to know that you all enjoy them is quite a reward for me. it truly means a lot to know people enjoy the journey we are making...

Seeing Rob live... nothing like it... it puts so much in perspective... and it truly clarifies just how crazy his life is when he needs to travel with 8 security guards... truly awesome though
