awwww, a friendship is born. Why is Mike ALWAYS a wanker?? I was hoping Emmett would throttle him, but this set the stage nicely for the Bella and Eddie show.
Hmm, now thinking back to chapter one...what the HELL was Edward thinkin', calling Miss B a ho????? hmph!!
I hope that in the intervening 8 years, his testicles have taken on a bcerulean hue, for while busy, their lack of emotional involvement gave him emotional blue balls. :)

Again, wonderful! I love this Bella, she's so strong! Can't wait to see what happens. It's Edward's turn next, right? Are you going to replay their history together first and then show us about the present or mix it a little?
Author's Response: Thank you! Yes EPOV is next, and you will see their history chapter by chapter until the famous blow out that fractures their friendship. We won't be writing each chapter in separate POV's though, but instead each character will recount a pivotal moment in their friendship until we get to their senior year.

Poor Bella!! I like the whole concept of a falty Edward and normalish Bella. I think it's so sweet that she sees more than an overweight kid who doesn't have the healthiest skin. Now let's see.... Emmett training Edward?? Hahaha. I like giving my ideas. It makes me feel muy importante. Lol :) But I would seriously like some developement in the looks department in highschool for Edward if that's possible. Not like to total hottie but maybe lose the weight and not have healthier skin. Just kind of normal looking. Then he gets all shmexy later!!! HEHEHE.

wait.. something bad happened to bella? i hope it's not THAT bad like really traumatic or something.. i mean, if something that bad happened, shouldn't charlie supposed to know? by their conversation as they got to school, i couldn't be sure if charlie knew what really happened in florida or not. would what happened have an impact to bella and edward's relationship? would it be related to the reason why they fell apart in high school?
Author's Response: It's fairly traumatic. But not in the way you may be thinking. Still, TOO much for a 14 year old to take. And Bella is not the type to share like that. More will make sense in the next chapter.
It isn't, however, why they fell apart.

Absolutely wonderful chapter! I am loving your Bella ~ for her kindness and sensibility and for her vulnerability. I wonder what she went through - was it just Renee's drinking or was there something else? Hmmm.
It breaks my heart to think Edward turned against her at some point ... but can't wait to see how it all unfolds. :)
Author's Response: You will get to see a bit more of Bella's cross, so to speak, as well as Edward's personality, in the next chapter.

What I think was most ingenius about your writing was the fact that your first chapter gave us a very interesting and harsh glimpse at B&E's future. With every subsequent word, I remember that pivotal scene where Edward sees Bella again, all beautiful and sensual, and Bella sees Edward, all gorgeous and divine. In choosing to give us that brief glimpse into their future, you enabled us to experience both hope and, at the same time, lament for what is undoubtedly to become a passionate yet heartbreaking relationship.
I love every single word and cannot wait for more.
Author's Response: Wow. How eloquently put? That is a lot of what we wanted you to see. The hope of what they become, and the shame of what they became. What could have been, did become and what could still happen. No where near as concise, but we're glad we got the point across!

Agreed, Bella's thoughts were necessary for this first meeting.
Wow. In the early comment, "You are under Emmett’s protection….", leads me to believe Bella has more in common with Edward than we may have previously realized. She has her insecurities, which are common with the grade level, but they seem to run deeper with the parental conflict she has no control over. And we won't even mention her grace or lack there of.
What I find most interesting is they have effortlessly become friends and what it means to each of them. I plan to enjoy where it is going and am curious how is will end before returning us to the prologue.

We won't plague you with replays of every event, but there will be a few where it's necessary, we think. This was one.
Bella is fairly confident and in that just-short-of-the-in-crowd grouping, but she's definitely not head cheerleader/homecoming queen status. It's hard to be completely sure of yourself at 14, but she's okay, all things considered. Still, she definitely has insecurities in common with Edward.
They do just fall into friendship. It's like something innate, something that they can't understand, just draws them to each other and makes them both, in their own way, instantly protective of one another. It's just not a quantifiable entity yet.
As for your reviewer's note: LMAO! You've been a wonderful supporter of me. And damn, don't miss out any longer on Tammy's amazing fic Rescue Me. Seriously. Paramedward. ::: shivers::: But we actually get excited when people want us to update! We're trying to hold to once a week (although we have 10 chapters past the prologue written) so our other stories don't suffer. Literally, we're like holding each other back from becoming COMPLETELY obsessive over this story, so feel free to become obsessive with us! We think the world of you so please keep it coming!

Author's Response: It won't happen often, but there are certain scenes we felt that readers needed to see both sides. The really life changing scenes as they drastically affected both of them.
Hmmm... he certainly doesn't hate her. Hate isn't really the problem, but it's more her that ... can't deal... with him. But you'll find out what happpens!
