Now I have read your story in less than a day and I'm totally BLOWN AWAY! It's so damn good. I'ts much deeper than a lot of other stories and....yeah, I don't even have words!

I used to have three stories that I can't live without...now I have four. Hope you update soon!

I'm all out crying.  I know that being a cancer patient also holds the inevitable loss of newly made friends you meet in the struggle.

Aw. What terrific friends.  That made me tear up.  I can't wait until Rose meets Em.

It's gotta be hard on a girl.  Us girls are so self-concious at that age without hair loss, vomiting spells, and fevers.  Hang in there Bella.

I will visit your site about becoming an organ donor.  Many people have lost loved ones to cancer or have loved ones living with or fighting this invader.  My little cousin transition from this life around this time last year after a 5 year battle against neroblastoma.  I live in Memphis, TN and my family was VERY blessed to have access to St. Jude Cancer and Research Center.  Words can not describe that greatest of this facility and its staff.

I just read all your chapters in one go, I apologize for not leaving individual reviews, but will from now on.

This couple is experiencing a series of miscommunications, aren't they?  I do hope they're honest with one another soon.

Looking forward to see where you take things!

A double red herring for me... you managed to write the clues in a way that essentially had me saying, "Well the first thing that comes to mind is diabetes... so that can't be it... unless it is? Hmmm..."

I enjoyed this chapter, and I don't blame Bella at all for being mad... but I don't blame Edward for not wanting to saddle her with his small-by-comparison problems.

Ruh roh! Edward, you DOOFUS! Gah! You had to have known that not telling her was a bad idea! How are you going to fix this? Great job, bb!

I went back to find it and I guess I thought Bella had figured it out - my dad is diabetic and that's what sugar-free *means*.

*shrugs*

I think she should have got it before now - is there a reason she didn't figure it out? But yeah I guess I was more confused that anything by the chapter cos it's blindingly obvious.

Reviewer: KBZ (Signed) · Date: March 27, 2010 12:19 AM · On: Chapter 14: Illumination

I swear Esme told Bella this earlier in the story. So I wasn't surprised because I already knew it. She was making him cookies - sugar free ones. I didn't get the chapter because I thought Bella already *knew*?

I'm not surprised that he's diabetic - I think I may have mused about that somewhere earlier on... and it makes sense that he had problems healing after his surgery because he was non-compliant with his meds. I had a college roommate who was diabetic and didn't take her insulin like she should have when she was younger, and now she has tons of trouble with her eyes because of it... she was in denial too. It's a rough disease but can be lived with if a person pays attention to how they live. I hope Edward came around soon enough to avoid problems later. And I hope that he hasn't lost Bella because he kept something so important from her. It's great that he wants to be a better person because of her, but he should have told her about his condition.  Regardless, this was a really well-written chapter and I"m looking forward to the next one - I hope it comes soon!!! :)

No, I didn't expect this at all. I assumed he had something big. Well, I'm not saying the Diabetes isn't big, but, well, you know what I mean.

Great chapter, sweets!

Reviewer: anabella (Signed) · Date: March 26, 2010 01:01 PM · On: Chapter 14: Illumination

I figured out he was diabetic when they had their first date. He didn't have apple cider because he said it was too sweet.

Reviewer: Drea (Signed) · Date: March 26, 2010 11:15 AM · On: Chapter 14: Illumination

I understand Edward not wanting to tell Bella about his condition.  He is probably a little embarassed by the way he was disregading his more managable illness while Bella is actively trying to fight her illness. I am a little upset with Bella for reacting so negatively. I understand being hurt because he kept it from her, but i think her anger is an overreaction.

FInally, an explination for why he's been in the hospital so much and why he's had so much trouble with his leg.

Reviewer: Phoenix Rising (Signed) · Date: March 26, 2010 10:20 AM · On: Chapter 14: Illumination

Other then the end, it sounds like they had a lovely trip to go visit Emmett.  I hope Bella has time to process her anger at Edward keeping something so big from her, but I can see his point that it wasn't as big as her illness and he didn't want to burden her with it.  I hope they can heal together.

xoxo Sarah

I just started reading this chapter this morning, and I wanted to take the time to complement you for writing you a well written story. Every chapter is so touching and beautiful.

Reviewer: Kisster (Signed) · Date: March 26, 2010 05:04 AM · On: Chapter 14: Illumination

I wasn't expecting him to be diabetic. I kind of get where he is coming from though. My grandad died from Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and he always took care of himself. My uncle was pissed at the world because he has juvenile onset diabetes and he used to abuse his body when he was younger. He felt it was wrong that my grandad wasn't going to make it and he was still here. My grandad getting sick did encourage him to fight, almost as if he couldn't justify asking my grandad to fight if he wasn't as well.

Loving this story.

I was born and raised in Maryland, so my first snowfall was pretty early on. Actually, I was born during a blizzard...

Reviewer: AussieECfan (Signed) · Date: March 26, 2010 04:19 AM · On: Chapter 14: Illumination

Ok, well colour me blind because I hadn't picked up on the hints eearlier on in the story at all! I figured it was nothing completely dire, but an ongoing illness/injury if Edward was so familiar with the hospital.

Still a little amazed that Edward the cock-blocker in that relationship! :P

Reviewer: justafan (Signed) · Date: March 26, 2010 04:17 AM · On: Chapter 14: Illumination

Well I didn't expect that, and my daughter has diabetes. I see where Edward is coming from. For some reason it is harder for boys to accept  they have dibetes than it is for girls. I hope Bella curbs her anger. He was coming from a good place.
