Very cute! This is not a situation that I have ever imagined E and B in, but you pulled it off brilliantly. I really liked how you incorporated the correct lingo into the story; having the language fit the time instead of the modern language being glaringly out of place like you see most of the time. Great job!

Absolutely LOVED this, ahaha, especially the bit about the Winnebago. Ahhaa, amazing.

Author's Response:

Tah very much, me lovely :) I'm so glad that you enjoyed it.

And yes, I thought it'd be a nice change from the typical tent reference ;) (and we all know what Edward's packing in the trouser department mmhmm....)

Great o/shot! Loved the scene you painted here - the characterisation and language was suitably authentic. And of course, Edward/Eddie is the ideal man - perfect combination of adorkable nerd and leather-clad bad boy. Swit swoo!

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for your review, it means alot to me to see that someone has enjoyed it and of course I'm really glad that I got the lingo down :)

Yes, I wanted to have my cake and eat it too - I think everyone's got a soft spot for the secretly hot nerd and the 'bad boy' in the leather jacket and this way you get both. Perfect.

Shooby doo, uh huh!

I can't believe Bella couldn't recognize him!

Anyway, amazing writing! I wish you would continue this, or add more one-shots!

Author's Response:

Well we all know that Bella can be a bit stupid sometimes :) and of course he was dressed incredibly different - nerd to rebel!

Cheers so much for the review, it means alot.

I'm pretty sure that it'll stay a one shot, for the moment at least ;o)

AMAZING, but just a note: Dartmouth didn't become coeductional until 1972. However, it's an au fic already so it's not a big deal :)

Author's Response:

Thank you :) And you know what, I hadn't even thought about researching that! Looked up all the other things but it didn't even cross my mind; maybe it's because I'm english? Haha, thanks again :o)

Very good and original period piece.  I would have never thought to put Bella and Edward in the 50's but it works.  Especially liked the pocket protector!

Author's Response:

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I thought it'd be really fun to see them in a sort of Grease era but them being older.

And the pocket protector - that pwns me hard. I thought it was funny to put how much Bella lusted after it ;)

Very cute story. It was a clever way of using Edward/Bella's repressed love theme. I think the reason Twilight is so popular is because of the repression. Good job!

Kudos on the use of The Lord of the Flies, I love that book too.

Author's Response:

Thank you :)

That's a really interesting point actually! I think that's true now that I think about it.

And Lord of the Flies, well I used it because it kinda fitted with the time period (even though I have no clue if they would study something that had been out for three years or something!) and I'd studied it endlessly for school so it made sense. It is a good book aswell :o)

I like it!!!! I haven't read a 50's theme story before... I like sexy Eddie and Izzy, (as well as Edward and Bella) I'm glad they had sex...With the 50's theme, I was afraid they were going to be frustrated!  :)

Author's Response:

Cheers so much for reviewing :)...and is if I wouldn't let them have sex! This is Edward and Bella we're talking about ;o)
