ok, so yay they are engaged, Edward's dad is dead, so Jake is what Ed Sr illegitamate child? oh brother on that if its true. Poor Em, was it the crazy guy  that caused Edward's accident and followed Bella at work?- Those Cavanaughs are a crazy bunch of ppl. James's father is willing to break all kinds of laws including murder to get his psycho son out of trouble!

Jacob could be Senior's child through an affair and well, Emmett's accident was courtesy of non other than someone from James's camp. I maybe wrong but that's what came to mind. Can't wait for the next chapter. I hope Em is okay.

I like how you showed certain chaos in the beginning of the chapter with the chase and then the media. Then the mood shifted and became a bit more calm and organized.

Great update. I hope this means that James is going to get what's coming to him and Bella can finally get past it. Boy, I could practically feel how slimy Aro is. I am glaed she is living with Edward. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Holy f*ck James gives me the creeps. He's obviously trying to rattle Bella, knowing that she'll have to be a star witness for the prosecution but he definitely is a complete cretin.

I hate that smugness of the Dark Haired Man.  The nerve to actually hold Edward's cell phone and smile at him.   Looky Looky what I have, how immature.  What is he in elementary school?  It's too bad the cops didn't get him or follow him.  Who knows where he will be again?  Since he did try and kill Edward on the highway.  Watching the cafe where Bella worked for 4 days.  Not a safe occurrence for Bella even if Ted's man Jared is there to keep an eye on her. If Edward had not driven down to the cafe, then the police might have been able to approach him.  What would they do just tell him to move along?  But at least Edward convinced Bella to quit her job.  Because it wasn't safe with the trial pending.  When everyone arrived at Bella's apartment to discuss the safety issue for all parties involved, it was decided that Bella would move in with Edward.  Alice would move in with Jasper.  Since he only has cell phone no address listed with phone number.  Because all of Edward's friends/family's home and cell phone number are listed.  With a home phone number you can find the address of the party and threaten/coerce them in an attempt to prevent Edward from pursuing against James.  James's family tipped off the press and attempted to create a 3 ring circus.  Bella insisted she wanted to go to see James's face.  Edward saw who the defense attorney for James was and dreads Bella being questioned by him. Edward felt Aro is much worse with a witness on the stand. Judge Crowley didn't waste any time refusing everything Aro wanted for his client.  The prosecutor had built a good solid case against James.  Not only mentioning previous, but establishing a pattern that continued across state lines.  Since the state's shrinks found James to be competent and sane he will be tried for his crimes.  The last nail was to transfer the case to Federal so the evidence will have all of attacks in Oregon and California as well as Bella's in Washington.  Since the trial Edward had him a verdict of not guilty, the information of the rape on that trial matches his mo when he attacked Bella and then knifed her in the back. What a sick creep?  James had the nerve to smile at Bella and lick his lips and blows Bella a kiss.  No remorse at all the man has no conscious.  He is just pure evil with daddy's money fixing everything he does wrong.  James has never had to deal with his actions.  Hoping this time the court will lay into him and add additional time for each subsequential victim from Washington, Oregon, and California.  Did anything happen in AZ why at the funny farm?  A man like James doesn't stop, he probably attacked someone there.  Possibly a fellow patient.  Get that cocky bastard.  If I thought it would help having Edward beat him to a bloody pulp, but that would only make things worse.  Bella has to remain strong, the tough part is just beginning.

AWE those two are too cute! Loving it. I can't get enough of Cynthia and Edward. She has got to be one of the best original characters ever.  I'm still not liking Emmett at all though. I kept wishing him gone throughout his brief appearance.  Excellent chapter.

james is a creep and i hope they can stick him with every crime he ever committed and his father should go down as well for trying to keep him out jail

I'm not sure about Emmett redeeming himself yet.  I think that Edward was correct about Cynthia possibly being his best friend as oppose to Emmett.  Emmett just seems very childish and immature.  He enables Edward's bad behavior instead of trying to help him. I see why Cynthia doesn't like him.  Excellent chapter.
