That was BY FAR the "calmest" rape scene I have yet to read in all of Twilight fanfic. And while my heart breaks for your Bella, I can't help but wonder what type of shit your Edward has had to endure for him to cause this type of mindfuckery on someone. And just because of her father?
Author's Response: I'm glad yo uthink so, but it still gave me shivers while I wrote it. Just like Bella, my mind and body went in very different directions... Have you ever read other rape scenes in this fandom? I'm surprised, I've never come across one. I don't know if I'd read it though, you guys are brave to give my story a chance! ;)
Yeah, Eddie has had a tough life, very tough. He has a lot of anger and hatred, Bella got caught in the middle...

Tastefully done. Will we find out what Edward was thinking and why he chose to take her the way he did? And how come the others knew what he was planning, did he share with them beforehand?
Author's Response: I'm glad you think so. Yes, we'll go into why he did it... eventually. As to why people seemed to know, I'll get into it in later chapters, but in a nutshell: Mary and Joseph did know what was coming, because they both know something from Edward's past. Your writting is AMAZING. Obviously, what happened to Bella was horrible but you were able to capture her emotions (fear, strength, determination, shame, etc.) perfectly. Please continue the story, I love both Bella and Edward are not morally "black or white". I can't wait to see if Bella and Edward can get passed his unexcusible behavior.

i would love to hear edward's point of view on this action, it seemed as if he wants her as his lover not a prisoner with the way he treated her so kindly, even though he did force it.

Author's Response: I will, I will. But I don't want to rush the chapters, it's a delicate story and I don't want to ruin it by being to rash, I need to really read and re-read each chapter, k? I will not write anything from his pov, but you will understand Edward, but it's going to take a while.

Well.....here goes...You gave plenty of warning and it does fit the story line. The fact that he didn't hurt her and tried to make it pleasurable (as much as it could be under the circumstances, that is) is something. It came off as an issue related to power and maybe something he felt he had to do to prove himself.
I'm not saying it is great that it happened, but I'm assuming we'll be seeing a more sympathetic Edward in the future?
Author's Response: Yes... but it'll take some time. Edward has a LOT of issues with Bella's dad, and a lot of issues in general. I'd like to think he wasn't born bad, he was made that way by a series of terrible experiences in his life. Give him a chance, Bella will ;)

I applaud your decision to write this chapter. It puts things into perspective and I don't think it was in any way terrible.
Yeah, I feel bad for Bella...but it makes it easier to accept knowing that he wasn't rough with her.

Edward is all about dominance and control. So far, Bella's "kidnapping" hasn't really been that fearful, that bad. But, Edward needs to show Bella that she isn't free here, she is under his control. He is attracted to her, but in raping her, he is telling her that she shouldn't get too comfortable. Bella's mind and body are two different entities. Her mind wants to resist the act because it is forced upon her. But, her body craves the sexual release, especially since he isn't physically hurting her. It must be extremely confusing for her. On one hand, she hates his guts for dominating her, but on the other she is still fully attracted to him. I think their relationship is interesting and dynamic. It is definitely exciting to watch!

Author's Response: Well, it would not be very believable to have such a powerful 17-year old gangster, now would it? And Edward and Bella have to be close to age, so... The thing about them being so young when it comes to AU-Human, you have more limited story lines, I think. But there are a billion stories with them as teens! I'm sure you won't have trouble finding a good one.

I'm glad I discovered this story, I'm very intrigued by it. Honestly, I've never read a fic where Edward actually forces himself upon Bella, so I find this pretty original. Like someone else commented, I suppose Bella is going to develop a case of the stockholm syndrom - interesting. I also wonder how bad what Edward does to her is going to affect Bella. There's one thing certain though, he's never gonna be able to forgive himself.

I think the story is very good and well written! I was curious if any other characters from Twilight will make an appearance besides Bella, Edward and Charlie. Not that it matters. I like the story how it is, and sometimes I notice in other stories every minor character will have names like Kate, Emily, Sam, etc... Your story just throws me off for example; first I thought that dog would be Jake, and when you mentioned the doctor I was like that must be Carlisle, haha. I can't wait for the next chapter, hope you update soon!
Author's Response: I wanted an older doctor, so Carlisle just didn't work. And using the name Jake for a dog was already used in Irritable Grizzly Bear and so it felt like plagiarism! LOL I'm not sure I'll use any of the other caharcters, but we'll see. Thanks for reading!

It hasn't been so difficult for Bella since her life as a child was pretty much the same as it is now. The only difference now she is aware of what all the people around the house do and represent. No way out. She tried and was successful for a while but of course her father's world would find her eventually.
I like that she is being taken care of by mature people like Joseph and Mary, it gives her certain relief but at the same time shows her, she won't be able to go anywhere. At least Robbie is with her, even if he as become somewhat of a traitor... :)

Mary and Joseph, yes, loyal and kind. But they still work for a mobster. I guess things aren't always black or white, huh? And Robbie is just too damn nice for his own good! To me, he is Robert, he just seems to damn trusting!

He really meant she is to be left alone. Otherwise she wouldn't have been able to leave her room or even get out of bed unsupervised.
At least her dog is with her, that should give her some peace and a sense of not so much lost.
However who ever has her, really means business and won't mind as her father to use force. He is intelligent, he is using the one thing any man can't let go of, his daughter. Especially in this case were her life had been so well guarded.

You do a good job of describing the almost dreamlike quality of her imprisonment. We have limited information about what is going on around her just as she has and her head injury has left her confused and second guessing her own mental faculties (head injuries I know can have repercussions that spread into years so this is quite understandable).
The length of her imprisonment adequately describes Robbie's attachment to Edward and there are enough ambiguities in his nature to make him interesting. Despite the known facts that he has a gangland reputation, that he had her kidnapped and shows no remorse that this caused her injury and his daily indifference to her state of health there are significators that tell another story. He did allow Robbie to accompany her and Robbie has made friends with him (we are inclined to believe that dogs are discriminating in their affections and protective of their owners - ergo Robbie does not see Edward as a threat to Bella). The people (servants) he surrounds himself with in his own home seem kind and refined and hold him in respect and appear loyal; who we associate with speaks volumes about us.
I am glad you resisted the usual scenario where there is an instance (even if unwelcome) attraction between the two. It is good to have something different and I suspect there is going to be some aspect of Stockholm Syndrome coming into play.

When I started thinking about this story, it was always in a very dream-like fashion. After the beating she received, the head injury and the fact that she is a hostage, who could retain some true sanity?
I love this Edward, love him so much I had to share him with others. I originally wrote the story with someone else in mind and it never really made sense. Edward, to me, can be really cold and controlling and have a dark side. I just wanted to see what would happen if he gave into that dark side. but yes, even though he is 'evil', he is still capable of loving Robbie, so there is good in there somewhere...

Good chapter. I'm kind of nervous for the upcoming chapter, not because she gets raped or whatever. I'm more interested in how that plays out. Like if he just comes into her room one night or calls her to his room. I'm rambling on. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is it's a great story so far and I can't wait for the next chapter.
