Hey Jasmine!  I'm so glad you enjoyed the flash of little Bella.  I wanted to have it laid out that Jacob and Bella have a bond that goes back to their childhood to create more conflict within Bella when it came time to give Jake his comeuppance.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the imagery, more will be revealed in Chapter 15 as far as what is going on within Bella the Black!

Eeep!  Heart tugging...

He would stay as still as fetid air and not utter a word unless I did first.  Which is exactly what he's been doing for seven years, hanging around, lifeless, useless, waiting for her to create a stir in the air.

I got chills at the part about the night before the wedding, when she went out like a witch calling her devil?  Bella was always willing to become some kind of monster for him, he had made it abundantly clear she couldn't stay the way she was and be safe with him, and here she goes embracing the supernatural again.

And then, seven years later that comes back into play with:  I wanted to see pain on that perfect face. I hated myself for it. What had I become?  Maybe not supernatural, but definitely vengeful.

Ah, and then Edward, being so very Edward:  Too much for my poor little lamb.  *whispers "ass"*

You made me giggle like a mad woman. You are the FIRST person to pick up on that and how very very wrong Edward is about his Bella.  

The "lone witch" line and scene was my favorite.  I can't wait until you see chapter 6! 

Vengeful...ooooh yes.  She will be vengeful...but not until chapter 14. :)

Good God Kari! Seriously! Just when I think I have where you are going with this thing it takes another twist and turn. I LOVE IT!!! 

The fact that Charlie knew and kept the secret from Bella is just another stone on the path to her utter breakdown. My heart breaks for Bella that all the men in her life have made decisions for her without truly considering her feelings on those actions. She is and has always been quite capable of caring for herself but those men in her life who love her always finding it necessary to hide the truth from her can only make her second guess her every decision. No wonder she has sunk into herself and has issues with her self image.

The twist that Charlie knew or at least had been told of the history of his family was so surprising. The fact that Billy's confrontation and acknowledgement of the fact that they are indeed shapeshifters, that his mother truly had always told him the truth, is what led to Charlie's heart attack was just so sad. The guilt that Billy has carried since that time is tremendous and my heart broke for him as well. I'm going to venture that the storm that was swirling outside while Bella and Billy first began speaking was Bella's emotional turmoil manifested in the weather. That is in itself amazing. If that is the case and her emotions are manipulating the elements in that way I can only guess how messy it's going to get now that Jake has appeared. That should be a most interesting confrontation. I have a feeling that if Bella's emotions are that out of control dealing with Billy that her anger and turmoil are going to increase ten-fold with confronting Jacob. 

I can't wait to see what you have in store in the next chapter. I'm not even going to guess where this story is going from here because like I said you so keep me guessing with every twist and turn. You are a genious and I am so excited to see where this goes next!

Danielle!  God how I love your gorgeous reviews.  It swells my heart to bursting to have you get involved in this tale and review the panties off my chapters. I knew that this chapter and 14 would get you pumped.  I'm putting 14 in the validation queue tonight as I finally have an outline for chapter 15.

You are exactly right, the storm is part and parcel to Bella's inner turmoil.  Jacob showing up will not bode well. I urge you to download Paula Cole's song Mississippi from her album This Fire.  It was the inspiration for Chapter 14, or what I affectionately like to call "The Throwdown." This story has really moved along with the help of reviews like yours, support and inspiration from my Bad, Broken and Dead ladies on the thread and just plain luck.  I'm hardly a genius.  I will however accept sneaky and manipulative.  hee hee hee!!!

Here's a little spoiler;  The book and it's contents will finally be revealed in Chapter 16.  :)

Wow.  Very good story.  But I hope that you won't follow Stephenie Meyer and have Jacob imprint on Bella and Edward's child (if they do have one).  I always hated that part of the book, felt it was encouraging pedophiles and over controlling partners.  Anyway, keep up the amazing work and update soon!

YAY!  New reader / reviewer!  MOST DEFINITELY NOT following SM with the baby or the imprinting.  I like your view in regards to the overtones of pedophilia and overcontrolling partners.  Here here!  For me the whole Renesmee thing was like...whaaaaa? The only thing I liked about it was the fact that Edward got to be a Daddy.  But that's about it....well, I guess the birthing scene was some nice drama though, have to admit, having it in JPOV was brilliant. But I digress.  Don't even get me started on what I think about SM's subliminal "sex kills" message to YA with Bella's pregnancy and birthing experience.  LOL!

Holy Hale girl!  What a great chapter!  I tortured myself all day with want of reading it. 

"The only thing that made the journey to La Push enjoyable this morning was being on my new bike. Alone. Free. The sun was bright and there was no wind which made handling the bike smooth as a dream. With summer coming to a close, the leaves were just beginning to turn. Fall was beautiful in Forks. The forests were aflame with oranges, reds and yellows."

I love that Bella rides a bike and is stronger than Bella in the books.  Her complete weakness in the face of all she dealt with never sat right with me.  I adore the description here.  First it calls to the elements that are so key to who she really is and what is to come for her. 

"The sky grew dark and the wind gathered force, rattling the windows, sending the wind chimes into a frenzied chorus of chaos."

The way you use the wind chimes and the weather building to escalate the tension is perfection.  I can hear it all.  It's a swirling mass of sound that is the inside of Bella's mind here.

"damp forest floor that was my soul's death bed after Edward razed my heart to ashes, " gorgeous.  And still calling to water and fire.  Cold and heat.  Lovely.

"The wolf was out of the bag so to speak." nice nod to the books.  Love to see that kind of thing. Also so perfect.

I have more to say but I will post it on the forum so as not to completely take up tons of review space.  That along with the teasers you posted have me clamoring for more...my curiousity clanging like the chimes on the porch.

Ok, this chapter has me drawn back in. I love how Billy is so kind and understanding to her. I guess you are giving us the calm before the storm, right. So, maybe I missed it somewhere earlier but she was able to get her powers the THIRD time Edward returned. I can't wait to see what is in the black book and the big confrontation. BTW, thanks for always answering my reviews.

Wow, Billy's knowledge of everything was great. It was sad to find out how Charlie died, but it is good that the truth is finally known. I was so glad to see more pieces begin to fit together, I can't wait to find out more about the book.

I'm glad you can see it all coming together.  I've actually skipped past writing chapter 15 and started writing a few entries in the book.

I'm hoping tonight I can get 15 sketched out so I can put 14 in the queue for validation.  I'm hoping the confrontation will make everyone happy.  There's a lotta anger out there for my Jacob. :)
