Delightful and funny.  Thanks!

Author's Response:

Thank you. I have just been to Turin (now I am travelling in France for another few days and then back to Rome). I can confirm that Turin is deligthful as I describe it. And we were in the Hotel Victoria of course! I gave to the hotel's owner (who is an old friend of my husband's family) a printed copy of Lesson of Italian; I hope I have not scandalized him!

Perhaps more of the lemon rind rather than the whole fruit.  Intense "flavor", but without the heaviness of the whole fruit...This story made me want to travel to Turin.  Who knew there where so many ways to talk about sex, all in one country?...

Author's Response:

Torino is my husband's hometown, and it is not well known even by many Italians. In the last years, and particularly after the winter Olimpics it ha really changed. Then monuments and Museums are the same, of course, but all has been restored and given new life. (For 8 years the city had a great Mayor - Now unfortunately he cannot run again.)

In Turin there is an Egiptian Museum that is said to be the best among European ones. I had to stop giving details, otherwise Lesson of Italian would have looked like a tourist leaflet with a tiny lemon attached. Validator Roo helped me to give it the present form.

The cuisine is delightful, with French overtones. And the white truffles, OMG. But, most of all, Turin has a night life (The Turin Movida, they call it) . Now people goes from Milan to Turin to be entertained. Unheard of, before. I am too old for night entertainment, but during our holidays this summer we plan to go there for a few days (Yes, to the Hotel Victoria, of course! Altough they have raised the prices after Edward and Bella visit. Such special clients!)

when i read it the first time i had no idea what he said ,but it was still really hot. nicely done

Author's Response:

Did you too get some lesson of Italian, in the meantime?

Thanks for reading twice

nicccccccce!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a little too grafc but other  why it is great. really love it !!!!!!!!!!!

Author's Response:

It this website itself that encourages some graphics...So in some stories, where appropriate, I felt emboldened...but I'll never go overboard, I think.

Thank you for the review

Very sexy.  :-)  Yes, Italian is truly a sexy-sounding language, at least to English speakers!  Hearing Edward speak Italian to me would definitely get me going in about two seconds, lol.  I love the bit about the Slow Food Movement, too.  Edward The Informed Activist is a very sexy notion.  I just wish the lemon had been a little longer and drawn out.  I thought you did a very good job for English not being your first language!  Definitely keep writing.

Author's Response:

My confidence with lemons is expanding bit by bit. Now I have a different story in the validation queue, but the one I am still writing  (a long process since it has to be edited before submission) will have more of them (blush). And Edward will be Edoardo, which is the Italian version of the name of our beloved vamp.

Thank you for the review

I was just in Italy! I definitely want to go back. Now I'm just wishing I had Edward to go with me! Hahah. Great story! Keep it up! :)

Author's Response:

If you come again, please visit Turin, if you haven't. I live in Rome, but Turin (Torino) is special (It is my husband hometown). I could not add further information because the story would have looked like a tourism guidebook with a lemon attached! In Turin, however, there is one of the best Egiptian museums in Europe, a lot of castles and palaces - it was the capital of a kingdom -  now perfectly restored, and the food is fantastic (with French cuisine undertones).

Thank you very much for reviewing

Hey, I think I'd call that tasteful smut!  Very nice indeed and I love reading about your Italy through Bella and Edward's eyes.

Author's Response:

I'll bring in an italian vampire next. You'll see (no not an ancient one like Aro...)

Thanks for your review

I really enjoyed this.  Great job!

i think that was a little weird....

Author's Response:

Weird was not an effect I was trying to achieve, so if you want to explain it better to me I will be grateful. I have still a lot to learn and English is not my native language. But thank you very much for your review

Che bellissima! I love speaking Italian, even though I generally suck at it. I could listed to someone reading the phone book in Italian and the sound of it alone would override me!

Author's Response:

Yes, that was the general idea. Of course Italian does not sound particularly sexy to me, being my native language, but I wrote this because everybody foreign tells me that it is so.

Mille graze per il commento

I loved it. Can't believe it's a one-shot. I would love to read more.

Author's Response:

Sorry, sorry, it was meant to be a one shot from the very beginning....I might try to send our immortal lovers somewhere else, though

Thank you for your review

God, 'Ti voglio scopare'? Coming from Edward IN Italian? Yes, please! Haha.

Sigh, if I had the ability to write Edward in a completely different language with a completely different history.. He might just be Italian...!

I think that for your first attempt at writing a lemon, you're on exactly the right track. Edward whispering sweet nothings into Bella's ear in another language? I can hardly think of anything more romantic. Why do you think I made Edward speak Italian in the first chapter of De Anima? There is maybe NOTHING sexier. Except for maybe adding in food, which you did. A good meal is sexy. A slow meal? Even sexier.

I think the end painted a beautiful picture. It shows that things can be 'frenzied' and 'thrilling' without being crude.

I appreciate the fact that this chapter was well-researched and educational and not just another dribble of something basic. I should take notes!

More in the future, I hope!

Author's Response:

Wow, this is the kind of review one wants to wake up with! (It is early morning in Rome). This is one shot, unfortunately. I battle with the twilighted website and I often lose. I belong to the pre-computer era and I am not so good at electronic interaction.  I'll try to edit away the word that says it is not finished. My aim with this story was to honor my husband hometown, which is not well known and rather out of the tourism routes. I had to struggle to contain myself and not to write a Turin guide... About the lemon: I also belong to an era where one hinted, but did not describe. I am not prude at all, I enjoy other people smut, but I found it extremely difficult to write even the little I have written here. Maybe in time....

Meanwhile I have 3 new stories ready to go, if only I can find willing betas to edite them pre-submission. I cannot submit otherwise, because, after all, English, is not my native language. And stories continue to bubble out of me. .. I got twilighted bad....

Mille grazie
