I really enjoyed that chapter! I think Charlie might need to be a little more "tough" considering he is the commanding general of the resistance. He can't let emotion get in his way if he is going to bring down the Volturi. I do realize, however, that you also want him to have a fatherly relationship with Bella, and its hard to mix the two.

My room is very Purple too, I am thinking about changing it to forrest Green. hmm.
That was a shortie, but it was a nice little filler. I think her dream might have helped her remember details of the Volturi attack.

Great chapter! The characters are good, but I think Charlie might need a little work... he sounds like a teenage girl trying to explain a grown man. I can't say much, in this regard at least, as I would be lucky to come up with a story like this.
Author's Response: Thank you for your honesty. Charlie was very hard for me to write because I never could really get the feel of him, so I kind of winged it. Parts of the chapter are inspired by guys though. I have four older brothers and some of Charlie's thoughts come from stuff they've said or done or stuff my dad has said or done. If you can think of anyway to better grasp Charlie, please feel free to let me know, I would appreciate it. Thank you for reviewing!

I really like what you have so far. You have a very intriguing idea for a story. I liked getting into Charlie's head. He really is trying to be a good father for Bella. I liked the part where he was 'protecting' her from Edward's questioning. I smiled at the part where Edward said that in three days "she's mine" because I thought "no, in three days you'll wish she was yours." :) Thanks for writing! Can't wait for more :)

Wait so is no one vampires. I really like Callous!Edward, it's hot. I like charlie's perspective, specifically how you show how he is so tied into gender roles and his own ineptness. It's really lovely and unconventional--which is always good. If no one is vampires I guess that makes a little more sense. Anyway, loving the fic keep it up;. =]
