i love this story sooo much! my heart leaps whenever i see an update!

I'm liking these baby steps you are speaking of.  It's obviously quite important to see his reserve decreasing by the miniscule amounts it has towards Bella and even a little bit towards the rest of the Cullens.  He's at least letting them get far enough down the stairs to leave soemthing for him to eat if he should ever decide to try it...

Now the whole synthetic inhibitor thing is fascinating.  I'm incredibly impressed with the idea you have come up with and how thoroughly you have thought it out.  That takes a lot of research too methinks, unless your already involved in the bio-chemistry field, in which case you've already done all the research...  Regardless, it's still majorly impressive.

I am very happy that he has gotten a sponge bath as well.  I feel that it's not something that he will really care about, but Bella sure as heck cares, and since she's acting as his guardian and caretaker then it's important.

I am quite upset still at the fact that someone or a group of someones have done this much damage to a person, vampire or not.  The cruelty in this world is astounding and I have no idea what to do with just knowing that it's possibly happening right now.  Luckily, there are people like the Cullens and Bella around who are willing to help, even if they don't know what's going on.

I'm not in the field -- but the amazing and fantastic babette is -- and she's graciously agreed to make sure I don't botch anything too severely!

And I agree, I'm not sure that the vamp was terribly concerned with being clean, but it helps Bella gain confidence and maybe helps him gain confidence in bella????

This chapter was soooo sweet!  I can't believe he let her give him a sponge bath. I love thst he is trusting her more and more. Another great chapter. You never fail to deliver!

I love the baby steps, you have no reason to apologize for that, they make the story much more organic and set great ground for their future interactions. Great update, Bella definitely has a promising career the sponge bath business :)

This is so great!  I really love how this story is developing.  I'm a science nerd, so I love the idea of an inhibitor.  Yay science!  I guessed that there was something in his system because Carlisle said he didn't smell right and I assumed that the taint is the reason that Alice can't see him clearly.  I also love that Bella is able to care for him.  She never had the chance to do that in the Twilight series, well until Breaking Dawn, that is.  Anyway, I love the bond that her nursing him is creating.  Can't wait to read more!
