This waiting is the worst part; knowing the eventual outcome, but unable to put it behind you yet. I will stay sad for a while longer. I hope I am remembering that Edward gets support, too, since traditionally the father has to be the "strong" one, and he is hurting as much as she is (more, if you believe that vampires feel everything more intensely).
Author's Response: yes - the next chapter looks up. the whole family will grieve in their own way - we only see a bit of it, but yes - they all feel the loss. :(

Glad the convo with Jake happened; when reading the Saga (even before I , um, phased) I was extremely cross with Bella for her cavalier treatment of someone who'd been such a good friend. He deserved an acknowledgement, even if she couldn't return his feelings in kind. Should be interesting to see the reactions of the Pack to the current developments. <><3

yes well it is normal to bleed sometimes in pregnancies. She is still in the beginning. What happens if she miscarries. Does Aro want that? that is a horrible thought.

This story is even more poignant the second (or third, or fourth) time around. A few things don't seem familiar, but that must be the dialogue refinement you are talking about? did you add more lines, or just make minor changes to what was there? I hate what is coming...
Author's Response: hiya!! i've read it countless times since i started writing, and this chap gets to me every time, and the next one too.
the content is all the same. what was changed was primarily some incidents where the speaker wasn't clear, or the dialog was clunky, or the grammar needed adjustments. the events, situations and actions are the same as the first time around.
in a couple of later chapters i made some small scene additions, but nothing that alters the main plot or eventual outcome. i think i changed a "marcus" reference to a "caius" instead, but the impact on the reader was still negligible.

OMG...I remember reading this story back in 2009. Life got crazy but I always wondered why the "update" emails stopped coming. Thank You for starting to post new chapters!!! Once again I started my morning with a cup of coffee and a wonderful story. Can't wait for the whole story.

Wow.... so intense. It's well written and I can't wait to read the rest of it. While my heart breaks for what is happening and what is apparently going to happen, I like that its isn't ALL angsty, but that you can tell they are already seeing light at the end of the tunnel... for now...
Author's Response: thank you so much - yes, intense difficult heartbreaking stuff to deal with. they have a lot of recover to do together, which will just deepen their bond. the tough stuff is by no means over yet. there IS definitely light at the end of the tunnel, even when they can't see it.
