She's just protective of her mother (one of the things that led her to choose police work as a career), and Silverfox more than passed the test. He's a sly dog, that one--winning over the daughter and wooing the mother all in one chapter. lol.

Author's Response: Thank you! So happy you liked the chapter. Silverfox was pretty stoked that everyone got along together, too. The harddrive of my laptop died on Sunday, but most of chapter 12 was already written on paper (what a concept), so I didn't lose much. Well, much of this story, anyhow. Thanks for reading!

Well, that was exciting, and all medical! It sounds to me as if the two families will hace no problem joining together when Edward and Bella do the same! It's too funny that Edward and Carlisl are competitive brothers, even at this stage of their lives! I'm seeing nothing but good feelings the rest of the way through this wonderful story!

OMG Can't. Breathe. I'm crying, I'm laughing so hard. God I love this story. I wasn't sure about the older stories, but the poetic prose that Edward uses (although it's really difficult to picture them in their 60s) is beautiful and the ease of their relationship is perfect. I absolutely loved the "neighborhood" description.

I know that envisioning an older couple smexing it up can be a stretch for many people, but I really wanted to change people's views on that. So many younger people think that it's gross for old people to have sex, but really, it's not like we give up our sexuality the day we turn 50 years old. It changes, sure, but it's still one of the very best things about being a human.
I'm really glad you love my Silverfox and his lovely words. He's very near and dear to my own heart, too.

It would also be nice if there could be inteactions between Bella and his kids esp Bella meeting Emet. and Edward and her kids and not all about sex.
Author's Response: I appreciate your comments, jing, and there will definitely be more meaty content in the next couple of chapters. This isn't intended to be a full and complete story of Bella and Edward from start to finish, more like a discovery by Edward of who he's meant to be with and what type of life he chooses to live. It's a novella. But yes, there will be less sex and more story coming soon.

Welcome back! I loved this chapter. I'm enjoying watching Bella and Edward getting closer. I also enjoyed a peek into Jake and Bella's life together. Will Edward get to meet Jake? If they do meet, I think Jake will be......somewhat protective of Bella but once he sees how Edward treats her he will be happy for her.

Bella's view of marriage is quite jaded. I think Edward should still ask her, if anyone can change her mind he can. She's already proved she can be faithful in a marriage and so has Edward. There's no way he'd go cheating on her. Given that her and Edward have just got together I thought is was quite insensitive of her to say that 'maybe it's better that people have a series of long-term relationships that are unofficial rather than get married for life.' How long should Edward expect his long-term relationship with Bella to last?
On a lighter note, I loved Edward's prostate massage, lol, it sounds as though he nearly saw both Jesus and God, hahaha!! I can't believe Edward pee's everywhere and lets his cleaning lady clean it up, eeeuuww! Surely it's not that difficult to aim straight into a toilet bowl.

Author's Response: Bella's view is definitely jaded, and she's trying hard to protect herself from being hurt again. Don't count Edward out, though. He *is* Team Silverfox, after all, and if anyone can convince her, it will be him. Just give him a little time. He understands why she's gunshy.
The peeing is a direct hit at Mr. Kimpy--the original Silverfox. For some reason, all my boys seem to pee anywhere except the bowl, and these are pretty clean and OCD boys otherwise. One must have some type of revenge, after all. ;)

I certainly hope no one would be so rude as to give you grief over the job turn down! Since when is it anyone's business but yours? This chapter was really good, I had to chuckle a bit over the bathroom cleaning, though. I am blessed with a man who not only sits down to pee, but cleans his own toilet! Please don't throw things at me, he came that way, fifty-two years ago, and yes I know just how lucky I am!. When I was younger, I used to clean house for a handful of clients. Poor Edward, now he thinks he'll never be able to ask Bella to marry him. Can't wait to see where you go with this !

Thank God for epiphanies. I'm so glad that Bella didn't let Edward wallow in self pity and finally got through to him that some things are just beyond his control no matter what. As for sexting, well I think he's still going to take his time getting used to that and overcoming his embarrassment, lol.
I have to say that your Silverfox Edward on your banner reminds me a lot of our very own Silverfox Philip Schofield here in the UK. Everytime I see the banner I think what's Philip Schofield doing in that picture. You should google him, he's a tv presenter on This Morning with Holly Willoughby, you might have seen her interview Rob and Taylor for BD1, anyway have a google or look on Twitter @schofe, tell me if you think they look alike.

Sexting? Yeah, Silverfox is in remedial school and we hope he ends up passing before the story ends. I'll keep you posted. :)
I have not heard of Philip Schofield, but I will most definitely look him up. You have me totally intrigued.
