I think I would be a very unhappy camper with my attended and with the United States military/government right about now if I was Bella.  It would be very hard to even want to speak to him about now.  Especially since everyone else has been getting messages and calls letting them know updates on what is going on, but not Bella.  Edward doesn't even call until Bella's going to bed the night before their wedding.  All he can say is I'm sorry.  Right.  What is he sorry for, missing the rehearsal or the fact that he can't make the wedding due to this wonderful last minute job commitment.  I understand national security is important, but so is their wedding which was scheduled first.  I mean they aren't even taking time off for a wedding, what's a couple of hours for a bloody dinner and practice rehearsal.  Is the man even in Forks yet?  Or is he still in Seattle?  Will he make it to the altar or will he stand her up at the last minute?  The least he could have done was called her/text'd her a couple words throughout the day.  After all it is his wedding too.  I can't blame Bella for being hurt, upset, or even livid at him.  I think he really has been inconsiderate to her this time.  No excuse for not communicating with her at some point earlier in the day.  His partner had no problem contacting just his "girlfriend" multiple times during the day, but Edward couldn't spare a couple seconds to contact his fiancee (future wife on the morrow.)  I hope Bella lays the guilt trip on him THICK.  Total jerk on this one Edward, total lack of putting in an effort to do the right thing for your girl.  Your actions couldn't have done more damage to put her right back to feeling how she did when your family up and moved right after Ryan's birth and supposed death.  For one of the happiest time in both of your lives, you sure aren't starting out on the right foot.  Get your act together boy, you have sure got some begging/pleading/amending to do to your girl for your lack of action to this point.

The military does this stuff.

I am not reviewing and I am rereading. I read this all some time ago. It is a good story, hard issue for people to go through.

6 weeks worth of working on this chapter, wow, well bless your heart, You are talented that's for sure, you always have a way of bringing the logical to a story, it is logical that certain career choices give one little choice.... that's logical and reality for Military families everyday...Bella doesn't complain, hasn't whined at all, she trudges through life and pushes where is important, Ryan her son...just what she does for and with him is incredible his needs first jjst like his Father, Major Masen's needs first.... My question is when is someone going to put Bella first?!?  Yes, Major pulled off a very perfect Bella marriage proposal, but Edward just doesn't always show how much Bella means to him... perhaps thats why Bella never pushed him to stay in touch when they were young and thought they lost Ryan....she doesn't know that she's important to him....I will stand up for Dr. Swan, since she doesn't .... I'm always Team Bella and Edward and Extremely Team Edward....but I can say Major Masen your letting your girl down, do you have any clue how lonely she is? When you didn't call for an entire day and missed the rehearsal without so much as a call or even the coldness of a text....how do you think she would feel?!?  I love the story, but I'm not sure Bella should follow through with this wedding.....Not sure if your committed to her, or just the idea of what could have been...

You, my dear uthor have pulled and tugged my my heart strings this entire story more so than any other....in AM we understood the distance Edward out between them, it was her age.... yep got that, but this story...boy, the lump in my throat with this one is just something...

That was such a sweet chapter. Truly! And so cute! How Ryan told Bella and Edward about all the running at camp, and how Edward told him not to join the military...hahaha. So freakin funny! I could see there was a little tension when Ed and Elizabeth got there, but to be honest, I do see a change. They seem very sorry for what they did in the past, and now, just want to make things right. They want a relationship with Ryan, but they also want one with Edward and Bella! They want to help with the wedding! They seem to want a new beginning! Here's to hoping! Now, poor Ryan has a lot to chew on. What to do next year? Stay with Edward and Bella during the week, or stay with Esme and Carlisle? Poor kid! Tough decision! I am a bit worried, and maybe it's nothing, but you seemed to say several things that concern me, and most of it deals with Edward. Ryan is worried about him, and also, that he will be out of reach by cell phone??? Hmmm? Just has me on edge. I hope everything is going to be OK? Poor Bella is all alone and I feel for her, but at least she has a girls night! Great story! Loving it! xoxo
