No! It's only their first fight out of a lifetime of them! If she leaves now, they will never learn to work things out together! She needs to stay with Edward and become a team!
Author's Response: Exactly! Glad to see you're paying attention! :)
Thanks for reading and reviewing! Here's your teaser:
“For how long?” Edward asked, bringing my attention back to him. I watched as he looked at me painfully.
“Oh... Um, I don’t know. I’m guessing a couple of days?” Edward’s eyes dropped from mine and he nodded solemnly. “I’m not though... Going anywhere, that is...” That got him to look back at me. “I can’t. Not after everythi—”
Before I got the chance to even finish, Edward interrupted, sounding unsure in his own conviction. “Maybe he’s right?”
I quickly shook my head. “No,” I told him adamantly. “He’s not. Edward, we just made a huge breakthrough in our relationship and I’m not going to risk taking four giant leaps back over something like running away.”
“Bella, I know I can trust you,” he whispered softly.

Author's Response: I don't think he has an ulterior motive. Just looking out for his baby girl ;)

I was pleasantly surprised to this update today, time passes so quickly! I had put off on reviewing the last chapter because I was honestly upset about the fight and didn't know who I felt more bad for. I must say though that I would have to side with Bella on that one.
But lo and behold, that was nothing compared to being upset about Charlie's suggestion. Ugh, I hope she doesn't go away alone.
Great infusion of the Velveteen Rabbit story. My favorite as a child was Babar the Little Elephant tale! Brings back fond memories of being read to by my mom.
Lynn
Author's Response: Well, they were both wrong for not talking about their feelings sooner. Let's hope they learned their lessons ;)
I love that everyone is so divided on whether they think Charlie's suggestion is good or bad :P I can see both sides of it as I'm the one who wrote it ;)
LOVED Babar! I loved the books and the show, and the show has since gotten a CGI facelift! It's brand-spankin-new!

reguardlwss it was an awful thought to have ....and she probally is afraid to tell people yet ...afraid to jinx it for them let them go get a clear report and a photo of the baby to share ....i sure hop that when they tell papa swan he doesn't think they were fighting cause he doesn't want to be a father cause if he thought that our boy might find himself on the other end of a horse whip
Author's Response: It IS an awful thought to have, but you can't blame the guy for being a little scared and thinking the worst. Yes, he should have known better, but so should she. They were both wrong to keep everything bottled up :P
The scene with Papa Swan (love that you called him that, it's my fave term of endearment for him) finding out about the baby is going to be good--at least I think so :P

I started reading this and realised that somehow, I had missed the last update!! All sorted now.
I'm wondering if Jake could be the mysterious intruder, and the visitor in the camp. Has he got a 'thing' for Bella? Why would he go in the bathroom though?
Time apart is a good thing. Not too long - maybe a weekend. It's good to take a breath in an intense relationship.
Author's Response: LOL! Man, I never thought Jake would be a suspect! LOL!

Well. stupid boy had a severe moment of weakness, and let his imagination get the best of him, so stupid. When will men learn. If you can say you really love someone, then you must trust them. He learned an important lesson about Bella....first...you need to trust her....second...she can only be pushed so far, and then she'll have an emotional breakdown or start walking.....and third and most importantly..her daddy lives real close by...and her daddy probably has a gun or two floating around. Not too smart to tick off Bella!! Edward...are you listening, lol. I hope they don't spend time apart, especialy not knowing why things are turning up in strange places, or things are missing....not too smart right now! Edward better ask Bella about her necklace soon, before he forgets. Love the story! Can't wait to hear more!
Author's Response: Yeah, but our past is what moulds us and we tend to remember the bad stuff. and what Kate did to him was the worst of the worst.
And Edward told me to tell you he heard you loud and clear ;) He's hiding under my blankets right now... Oh! *shakes head* sorry, where were we? ;)

“Now that I understand your feelings, we’ll wait to tell everyone,” I told her, realizing that her reasoning was sound. “If it makes you more comfortable to wait, then we’ll wait. “Only if you’re sure, Edward,” she said, her eyebrows raised and pulled together. “I don’t want this to be the source of anymore discord between us.”
“It won’t be,” I assured her. “Now that I understand why you wanted to wait, I can see your point.” Feeling the need to show her with more than words of how happy I was that we had been able to discuss our feelings with each other, I leaned in for a kiss.
Before my lips could make contact though, Bella turned her head away from me and pulled herself out of my arms. “I’m sorry. I know we talked about everything, but I’m still just kind of ... reeling, you know?” It physically pained me when she started for the door, and she must have sensed this because she turned to me. “I’m just going for a walk. I need some time to think about everything. I’ll stay on the grounds. I promise.”
Even though I didn’t want her to go anywhere, I nodded, hoping to show her a little of that trust that I seemed to have been lacking earlier. “Okay. I’ll be here.” Just as she moved for the hall again, I called out to her. “Bella?” She turned back, meeting my nervous-as-fuck stare. “Are we okay?”

Edward is so dense. What an idiot. You never argue with a pregnant lady unless you want your ball handed to you on a silver platter (so I've heard, I've never been pregnant)

Knew misunderstanding and disagreements were coming fast between them. Based on Edward's reactions to Bella's actions and remarks once they learned she was pregnant. Also from reading the preview. Edward did think she went to town for an abortion. She wouldn't be driving herself home after 3 hours though. My understanding is to have you need a driver to take you home, not that I have experienced it. Just from what I've heard. Bella wants the baby. She had to deal with the shock and the untimeliness. She wants the baby very much. Someone was in their home while they went camping. She did put the test under the sick to hide it from the others in case they went into their bathroom. The window wasn't open. Mike claimed it wasn't him. Mike is stalking her. Mike knows she's dating and living with Edward, but still trying to get back with Bella. When Edward opens that brown paper bag and sees that book, he's going to feel so BAD!!!!!!! Especially the price she paid for that book. Damn she could have bought a brand new one for a lot less. She wanted to give him a very special copy. She made a stop for a cheeseburger and checked a couple bookstores for a copy of The Velveteen Rabbit. Can't blame Bella for being hurt and upset at Edward and his accusations. His comparing her to Kate was hateful. Bella is nothing like Kate and comparing her in actions to her was the epitome of insults and degrading to her. In a way you can't blame Edward either Bella has been shutting him out about her feelings about the baby as well. Wanting to keep it secret being scared, possible ruining her plans to compete the following year, abortion happened once to him why not again. Don't women always do that when babies are inconvenient. Bella's last statement thrown in his face should get him thinking and running away in tears will make him feel like crap which it should since she just charged approximately $1000 for 1 book for Edward. Just to show him her excitement about them having a baby. The talk should have occurred once they got home after the camping trip. It could have happened in the romantic tub soak or pillow talk. Waiting only made the doubts of both build and cause fear, anger, etc to fester until the explosion of mistrust and fear of the unknown attack each other.
Author's Response: Yeah, that was kind of the purpose of finding him a rare early publication of the book. Sure, it was expensive, but it was a copy that not a lot of people would have. Sometimes "new" isnt always better ;)

Poor Bella....that now ravenous carnivour that was once a vegetarian. I thought that she was a goner when they were questioning who the burger was for, and she said it was for Charlie, without the bacon though. It all has to come out soon I think. Really not sure who was outside that tent...but maybe Kate's back, hmmmm. Who knows? Also......got to say.....a little concerned that someone was in their house. I don't think she left it out in the open like that, since I really thought when everyone showed up that she got rid of all of the evidence. Hmmm???? Also...loved the gift she bought for Edward. I never realized a book could be that expensive for something that is not a first edition...wow! Guess I buy a lot of new books, lol. Edward must have been really freaked out to talk to Bella that way. I have a feeling it will be a short fight since his heart is going to be breaking when he sees that book. I love the story. Can't wait for more!
Author's Response: Haha! Yeah, her tastes certainly have changed, huh? *snickers*
We'll find out who/what was outside the tent as well as if anyone was in their house soon enough. I promise. Yeah, early publications are rare too. I would have had her get a first edition, but you guys literally would have died--they go for over 16 THOUSAND dollars!!

“Now that I understand your feelings, we’ll wait to tell everyone,” I told her, realizing that her reasoning was sound. “If it makes you more comfortable to wait, then we’ll wait. I’m sorry for thinking you had another reason behind the idea. I’ll give you the time you need if you can be patient with me as I try to overcome my own issues.”
The right side of her mouth turned up and she nodded. “We will be...”

Was it Kate lurking around? Wouldn't put it past her. Not Jacob? Hmmm....hope this little spat is short lived. I get where Edward is coming from but he needs to know Bella is not Kate. Good job.....
Author's Response: Definitely not Jake... he's only a harmless 16 year old in this story ;)
The fight will be short-lived. I promise :)

Mike is such a baby!! Haha! Glad to see Bella giving Edward such a great gift to show her happiness about the baby!
Author's Response: LOL! Isn't he?! I don't write him as a whiney git much, so this was kind of fun!

Author's Response:
I think everybody does!
Thanks for reading and reviewing! Here's your teaser to this week's update!
I was barely through the door before Edward’s arms were around me in an almost bone-crushing hug, and my surprise for him forgotten.
“I’m so glad you’re back,” he breathed into my neck, kissing below my ear several times before lifting his head to look at me. “Why didn’t you call?”
“Uh... I forgot? Sorry...” What the hell was going on with him? Something definitely wasn’t right.
“I asked you to let me know when you were on your way home,” he stated firmly, his eyes flashing what looked like mild irritation, before turning from me and heading for the kitchen where he had started to prepare dinner.
Following him, I set the bag on the island and crossed my arms across my body defensively; my frustration had finally reaching its peak. “I said I was sorry. Had I known it was such a big deal, I’d have called.” Were we seriously fighting about me not calling when he knew I wasn’t going to be gone long? For crying out loud, he’d made the trip into town before, it’s not like he had no idea as to an approximate timeframe for when I’d return.
I was staring at his back as he placed his hands flat on the counter in front of him, slumping his head and shoulders almost like he had been defeated. “I was just ... worried,” he confessed, his voice soft and barely audible.
“About what? You knew where I was...” I was growing more and more confused as time went on.
He snapped his head around, his eyebrows knit together. “Did I?”
Whoa. What?

I was wondering if you were finally going to come out and say that she was pregnant especially with the way she was acting in the last chapter. Interesting to find out how everyone is going to react to the news, I am sure that Alice isn't fooled by Bella brushing everything off, and BTW what was Bella woken up by ????? :0)
Author's Response: LMFAO! Well, I kept you guys wondering since the unprotected hot tub sex, I figured 5 chapters was enough ;)
