Author's Response: lol, thank you. :) I do consider myself an amateur writer. Perhaps someday I'll be a professional. And by "real" I mean if it were a published paperback sitting in your lap... so it would actually have pages. You know? ;-)
You're very welcome for the story. As stated in the story notes I wrote it mostly for my own enjoyment. But it is surprisingly satisfying to read how much all of you are enjoying it, too! So thank you for the response!

God i'm crying becasue he died and i love your story and i won't want it to end. I really cried because he died. Stupid James, though Alice belongs with Jasper but still, it's sad that she doesn't remember him. Maybe she can start remembering one day?
Author's Response: I'm sorry you're so sad. But in a way it makes me happy. Because that means the story really touches you. And only really good stories can effect people emotionally like that. So thank you for the compliment! We'll see what happens in the next chapter(s?) if Alice will ever be able to remember Alaric or not.

Author's Response: I toyed around with the idea of writing about the aftermath of the battle. But it seems to be better left to the imagination. The gist of it is that, since their house was destroyed, they had to move immediately. I'm glad you liked this chapter anyway. :)

Please tell me Alaric isn't going to die!! I love that guy, cant he go to the cullens after renesmee? I love how sweet he is to alice and i care for him, but i guess James did kill him and that sadens me.

Author's Response: I couldn't write this story without a fight scene for Alice, and this seemed like the perfect excuse for one. Edward is so vague in Midnight Sun about what heppened. But I knew that whatever it was it would have to cause them to move and Maria would have to survive and leave on moderately good terms with Jasper and the rest of the Cullens. I'm really glad you liked it. And thanks for responding!

I honestly don't think you could have ended that more perfectly than you did :) Poor Alaric... and poor Alice :(
Now that this story is ending, what can we expect from you in the future? ^.^ Maybe Alice's account of Bella's arrival, or maybe somehow getting her memory back and finding an aged Dee? Whatever it is, I can't wait! You're such a brilliant writer! :D
Author's Response: There are still a few chapters left in this story. If you'd like a bit of a preview my plans for future chapters are as follows: Maria visits the Cullens while they're living in Calgary. The showdown between James and Alaric from Alaric's POV. The Cullens move from Denali to Forks.
I may write an epilogue after that. That would be either Alice's account of Bella's arrival or the arrival of James' coven in the baseball clearing. I haven't decided yet on that one. :)

That made me cry! And I never cry. Alaric's sacrifice and the things he said to her were beautiful. It was perfect to end with her begging him to stay and feeling sorrow and sadness instead of just the pain of burning. As always, I love it.
