Hmmm, I find it amazing that I seem never to get enough of good fanfiction. Insatiable! Your writing is really good, and your story is going somewhere unique and uncovered in anything I've already read. I find it really plausible that Bella could have ambivalent or even angry feelings towards Edward and given her rather vivid dreaming life, it certainly seems reasonable that things could play out this way. I wonder where Jake fits into her dreaming world? She knows at this point how much he adores her, she had been considering him as boyfriend material while Edward was gone and right up until Alice showed up and she flew to Volterra to save him, she was this close to making that choice. As much as I really am an Edward Lady all the way, a part of me wonders what that would do to him after all these other murmurings, to hear his beloved talk to or about unresolved feelings for Jacob? Things that make you go  Hmmmm. Thanks for the story! Looking forward to reading more!

I love that this doesn't just concern itelf with Edward making amends to Bella (although, he has some serious 'plainin' to do!)

I think everyone forgets how much his family would have missed him and the fear they faced with him going to Italy.

I suck at writing reviews, so I try to keep them simple. I thought this chapter was well written and flowed nicely. It makes sense that Bella is working through her anger and pain in sleep. As she heals, time will come for her to acknowledge her feelings to Edward in-person.

" make him pay for the trauma we endured." I don't like it when people make Edward's family look like saints and like they are the victims. If anyone is a victim here, that person is Edward. His family never let him go, they knew how much her suffered watching happy couples, listening to their thought, watching what they saw and not even hacing the choice not to. As much as I love Carlisle, he should have known Edward had several problems with that, and that mixed with how alone he was... that produced bad things in his head.

Sorry about that, I just thought I should say that the Cullens have some guilt about what happened. They don't have the right to say the 'endured traume' because they have no clue about the trauma Edward endured for decades.

"I saw the sheer panic in her eyes" That's what I mean when I say they never let him go, have some peace. Edward is kind, he loves his family... he does not want to make them suffer. In the process, he hurts himself.

Callous actions. Carlisle would have done the same, he won't live without Esme. Rosalie admits it in SM's outtake... she would do it. Jasper would let Maria kill him if something happened to Alice. And Alice? She would do it.

What I liked about the chapter is that Carlisle tried to listen to Edward, he is not judging him... too much. I liked when he said about the promise he made to Elizabeth and how much Edward means to him. Also, he always said 'my children' 'my son' it's nice when Carlisle thinks of himself as the father.

Where we disagree is that the Cullens would have let him go if it had not been that had to watch his suffering when he left Bella. Had he left before he met Bella and checked in every once and while I would  agree to you. But in my opinion they had to watch him give up living and for what they  felt was not a good reason. However, i see your point and sometimes agree with you. LOVE the honesty. I may have to make some addition to ch 4 when talks to Esme....BTW the sibling ARE NOT letting him off easily.

Wow, I really like this story. It has a lot of heart to it. I've always liked conversations between Edward and Carlisle. He has a way of making everything seem ok. I can't wait until Edward talks to the Cullens, especially Alice, Jasper and Esme, since she's his mommy. :)
