Darling story, with Bella so sweet and shy yet sexy for her Edward. Interesting premise, though more my daughter's style. I'm a push-over for vampire Edward and human Bella, turned at some future date. As long as Edward and Bella are together, all's right with the world.

Author's Response: I'm so glad that you enjoyed!! The longer story has started to post both here and on FF.net. It is titled All That Jazz and is 11 chapters in right now. It's a bit of a different story arc than this one shot. It begins in Bella's POV when she was 16 and it shows the beginnings of their relationship. I hope you enjoy if you choose to read. The chapters post quicker on FF than they do here, just because of the queue here at Twilighted, but my validation beta for this story is phenomenal, so there isn't that much of a delay. I would love to see this expanded! I was so surprised when I read it. It is so different from the other one I read, but both are amazing. Historical romantic lemons are quite nice.

You'll be happy to know that the longer story has started to post. It is posted here and on FF.net under the title All That Jazz. Because the longer story is really the "back story" of this one shot, it doesn't start out with many lemons...however, the greatest part of ATJ is that you KNOW they end up hot under the sheets because of this one shot. ;) I hope you check it out and enjoy where it is going. I would LOOOOOOOOOVE to read this story
The reasons she gave intrigue me to the time this takes place in, and what a novel concept of being in love with the man you marry would be lol. I didn't realize how novel until i remembered Edward at the beginning hoping that she had finally fell in love with him..haha i caught myself thinking "well of course she loves you, she married you silly" but not necessarily so....I see why he'd doubt it.
This has great potential..I wonder what the courting was like...what their first time was like, first kiss and everything(i know out of order haha)
but yea this would make a good story..i'd read it

It begins before Bella moves to Chicago to live with her Aunt Esme and Uncle Carlisle and tells a lot more about why she is the way she is. I love old fashioned stories and all those antiquated ideas that had people ridiculously bound to conform. The Age of Innocence being one of my favorite books. I really this short of yours. I think what Edward was suffering through was very common since women of the day were basically taught that liking sex was immoral for a wife. It shouldn't be a chore like taking out the trash. Of course Bella suffered too. Our parents can really mess us up for life by teaching us wrong. It's next to impossible to undo our childhoods. But more power to Bella. She rocks. You should totally expand on this story. I think you're really on to something.
Author's Response: Thanks! I agree with you. Period pieces can be just as sexy as modern peices, albeit in different ways. I think that part of the allure of period stories is all of the build up that occurs in this type of relationship and all of the missed opportunities for them to understand each other.
