I remember how painful this time was for me as a fan. In fact, anytime that these two are apart I am in some measure of agony. Then I think... They must be miserable. I am sure that this was crazy and as much as Kristen had to cut her hair to feel Joan out, I am sure it did bother her on another level. Because her hair was just beautiful. Still. It's growing back now.
I think you have done a great job with establishing the relationship that Dakota and Kristen will have as well as the idea that the paparazzi are just lingering... EVERYWHERE. I Can imagine what will happen with Rob's mobbing and such. NY was killer for him too.
Can I also just say how much I adore the way you wrote him responding to her hair? I love that he loves her no matter what she looks like. That's true love!
These two make my heart jump and leap and do all sorts of crazy Lord of the Dance shit in my chest.

Nice chapter. I liked how you showed that Kris had complex emotions about new hair and their dialogue over the phone is just so sweet. And it's nice to see them interact with some other people too. Can't wait to read your vertion of their reunion.

Thank you so much for the update and without such heartache. They pine for eachother, but it is nice that they are talking about it instead of having breakdowns. It was seriously kicking my ass to read about their depression and freaking out over not being together. I took it to heart and it was pulling on me long after I read it. So I am glad that this chapter was 2 more healthy people missing eachother. And that you are not going to drag the separation out.
