This is a pretty good story with lots of angst...you really should update.  I'm dying to know all the details of the break up...their working relationship.  Hopefully, you'll have him begging a little. :)

Please update soon!

Gee if i was Bella i would have just grabbed a bottle of wine or a six-pack, locked my self in the bathroom and had my own party that way when i need to throw up i wouldn't have to worry so much and the cold floor would help the hangover. lol

might be childish but wouldn't have to worry bout the clean up it would be fairly easy.

hmmmmm. I think that she handled that fairly well. considering that she has to work with him and with what Alice spilt about him asking about her and knowing it was her.

so why did he ended it? cos he wanted to goto a didd school and like said most relationships don't work cos of all the crazy hours? is this another Edwards (not so) 'brilliant' plan to save her pain?

i really love this story so far, please keep writing and post again soon.

Somewhere we haven't got to yet are the reasons for Edward's behavior, then and now. Reasons that now it seems only he knows of. How long will it be until we get to know some of what has happened?

It must be really hard for Bella, she finally has what she always wanted as a person as a professional and it is now being risked because of her past love for someone. She is smart and will not throw away her career, she has grown up and even as much as she wants to run away she won't, Not without a fight.

I like your long chapters, they are carefully written and that takes time. However I will be waiting for the next one. I'm really enjoying this story and curious as to how it will go.

Something we don't know about Jake and Edward do. It probably was after Bella left. I hope we find out soon that and why is Rosalie so angry with Bella.

If I were here I would have left and then appologize to Alice. But if she had, well this story would be a little boring. :)

It's clear that Bella sees Jake as a really good friend and just that, and Jake even if he doesn't like it has got the picture too. So I don't think there will be much trouble on that front, except maybe some friendly jealousy in the future.

Alice is great here and I have a feeling so will Jasper.

I CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT THIS STORY!!!  I read the chapters days ago, and I still think about it during the most random of times...

I want to get into Edward's head.  I'm dying to see what happens next, especially at Bella's first day on the job.  I wonder what Edward must've told Rosalie to make her hate Bella so much.  I want to know why Edward felt the need to break Bella's heart. I think about why Alice wasn't slightly more supportive of Bella at her party, considering the Dr Heartbreak situation and knowing how utterly uncomfortable (to say the least) Bella must've been feeling.

I really hope you'll continue with this story!!

So I've been scouring this site looking for a new, well-written story to read.  Something I can get really interested in that isn't completely fluffy.  I BELIEVE I HAVE FOUND IT.  I really really really like the idea behind this, and cannot wait to see how it unravels.  Potential galore.  It's already great, but I'm sure it'll only get better from here.

Okay, I'm officially ending my long-standing legacy of lurking to let you know how much I love this story.  The way you've painted Bella as both intelligent and competent, (but still slightly clueless), and Alice as her smart, committed, professional friend is wonderful...I'm so sick of the usual characterizations which rob both characters of any kind of richness.  Alice is always a hyper, controlling shopaholic who is slightly insensitive to Bella's needs while Bella is always depicted as a hugely clumsy, fashion-backward, pseudo-intellectual with co-dependency issues.  It's refreshing to see that you've set up a strong friendship between the two that is based on interests completely separate from Bella's issues with Edward and his family.  It is interesting that Alice can now act as fresh eyes for Bella as she FINALLY begins to trudge through her loads of emotional baggage regarding her failed relationship with Edward (and the resulting emotional effects that have left her scarred).

I can't wait to find out the motivations behind Edward's decision to end their relationship...It seems fairly obvious that he still cares in some capacity.  He's shown that he cares about her well-being by taking such good care of her after she passed out on the bathroom floor, and by bringing the hangover cure kit :).  That was a really sweet gesture!!!

I noticed after going back and re-reading Bella's comment right before Edward dropped the break-up bomb, that she stated "I don't want to go", which leads me to think that maybe Edward's actions stemmed from Bella's intention not to leave him to pursue her professional career (grad school, internship, etc)?  He could've been thinking that if he let her stay, she might regret it and resent him for it later???  I hope he has a good reason for her if/when they actually talk about it.  Can't wait to witness Bella's first day at work!  I'm loving the longing looks Edward is sending her way, and hope to see more soon!  I'd love maybe an EPOV chapter too!

Anyway, sorry for the monster review, but I wanted to let you know that you're an amazing writer- I'm hooked because I can actually feel what the characters are feeing.  I'm sooo looking forward to more updates (wink wink)!

What an awesome story!  I love what you have thus far.  I really like the characterizations that you have created.  You have managed to maintain some of the character traits from the books while expounding upon them to create your own unique versions.  Bella's character especially speaks to me, because although she is somewhat awkward and self-conscious, as in the books, she also happens to be quite intelligent and accomplished.  Edward is gorgeous, of course, and intelligent, but your characterization adds a very humanistic side to him as well.  Often times in fanfictions Edward is portrayed as being perfect in every facet.  Your version is much more realistic in that he makes mistakes and has character flaws.  Although he has just been introduced into the story we know that Edward, for whatever reason, has hurt Bella.  That is a very human thing to do, hurt someone you are supposed to love.  I like imperfect Edward in contrast to superior Edward.  The female characters in this story are strong.  Thank you for giving Alice a brain and the ability to use it for something meaningful.  So many times Alice is protrayed in stories as the bubbly, somewhat flighty, fashionista whose main concern happens to be what outfit to wear or in what to dress others.  Your Alice, while perky and loving, is educated and in a very professional and stimulating career field.  Good job on the characterizations.

The plot for the story is unique.  I like it alot.  Bella's soliloquy is great.  Your wording is descriptive without being excessive, to the point I could feel my heart breaking right along with hers as she outlined she and Edward's backstory.  I must admit that you fooled me on exactly who Dr. Heartbreak was going to be.  I initially thought of Edward but when Alice announced she planned to introduce Bella to the neurosurgeon/friend I changed course in my mind.  Imagine my surprise when Bella comes face to face with Edward/neurosurgeon/friend at Alice and Jasper's.  Good one on me.  You are a trickster.  I like the slight twist in the plot so early on.

Your writing skills are excellent.  The grammar and punctuation are impeccable.  I am very impressed.  I love it when spelling, grammar, and punctuation are spot on.  It makes me giddy.  Even though I am a social worker by trade, I am truly an english teacher at heart.  I feel that even the strongest plot is weakened if the author doesn't pay attention to those details.  They make a big difference.  Not that your plot needs the buffer, but still.  It jumps out at me.

I think this story has amazing potential and I sincerely hope that you plan to continue on with it.  I am quite intrigued as to where the story will go.  Thanks for early on indicating that this is not going to be one of the usual, love triangle stories.  While Jacob is okay as a friend, I don't like stories where he's used to pad the plot.  His role as you have created it is normal.  He was a rebound.  I like him in that role.  It is as it should be.

I hope you are able to update soon.  I am so eager to find out about Bella's first day at work.  I feel anxious like I am heading to that dreaded first day with her.  I can't wait to see how our first day at the new job goes.  Take care of yourself and have a good rest of the week.

My stomach feels like it's going to wretch.  The feelings that are going through her mind are completely believable.  Great job as a writer... keep it coming.  I really want to here Edward's point of view though... I know he wasn't happy about seeing Jacob.  he must have heard that Bella used him as a pick-me-up-lay.  Perhaps he came back one dark night after he had broken Bella, with the idea in mind to beg for Bella's forgiveness, only to peek through a window or hear through a door, that Bella had shacken up with a (stupid, annoying and anything but attractive) native american guy.  I really want to hear what was going through his mind as he and Bella exchanged their first words after those years apart... or how he felt after seeing her for the first time.

But really, all I want is another chapter that will at least give me some cheek caressing and hushed whispers of Bella's name on Edwards lips... keep it comin girl.

LOVE your story! My friend Barbarito recommended it and I am so happy she did. Your writing is great and you have me totally captivated.

Edward has been sneaky and I can't wait to see what was behind his decision to break up with Bella. Also, why Rose is so cold to Bella.

Definitely looking forward to more!

Thanks!!
