i was just thinking about this story the other day.  i miss it!!!

Author's Response:

Hey there, dear! I know, I'm fail. I think I've been having trouble getting into the mindframe of writing for myself instead of for the response. I'm thinking of just not posting until I've written the end, so that I can avoid posting chapters several months apart. I'm so sorry for the very long wait! The good news is that I have the next chapter written, and I'm excited about the chapters to come. If I can keep up the writing motivation, I will finish, and then you will get it all at once! Again, sorry for being lame and unmotivated! Thanks for thinking of me and my story! :)

Reviewer: Jacey2381 (Signed) · Date: May 19, 2010 03:46 PM · On: She Confronts Another

really enjoying reading, please update soon.

Author's Response:

How did I miss this one? I'm so sorry for the delayed response! I'm happy to hear you are enjoying the story. Sorry for the very long hiatus. I really have no excuse other than my complete emotional incapability of handling writing such a taxing story. I hope to be able to write more soon! Thank you for reading and reviewing!

So, there I was reading Chp12 and I got to the end looking for the red "Next" link.  And it wasn't there.

I was like "What? No. Is that it?!"

Not in the sense that the story had finished, more that I had gotten to the end of the updates.  Gutted!

Author's Response:

Haha! So glad to hear you're enjoying the story! Thanks for leaving a review for me! They're like little happy treats. :) I'm hoping to have the next chapter up sometime this century, hehe. Thanks for reading, DLS.

nice

Author's Response:

Thanks, W! Glad to see you're still reading and reviewing! :)

Reviewer: tracish (Signed) · Date: April 26, 2010 12:33 PM · On: She Confronts Another

I forgot how much I liked this story. I missed it. I can't wait for more.

Author's Response:

Sorry for the wait! Obnoxious emo lack of motivation problem got in the way. I swear I wasn't slacking though--I think I wrote 4 one-shots that I either posted on my FFn profile or will post in the coming weeks--so I was writing, just not this. You can understand that this one takes quite a bit of brain power and energy to write!

On the up side, I do have the next chapter started already, so it shouldn't be a terribly long wait for this one--maybe another week to a week and a half?

Glad to hear you missed the story, and that you didn't give up on me. :) I will do my best not to get in another emo funk, 'kay? Thanks for reading, and for taking the time to review!

Reviewer: edc_robp (Signed) · Date: April 26, 2010 04:28 AM · On: She Confronts Another

so glad that this story is back!  i missed it there for a while!  and this chapter is great - as always!

Author's Response:

Hey there! Yeah, I'm having massive emo writer's block on this story lately. I have started the next chapter, but the writing is slow going so far. Hoping to get it posted sometime either this coming weekend or next week. We'll see. Thanks for sticking it out with me, and fore reviewing again. It does help refill the pool of motivational energy. Thanks, edc!

Well written.  I look forward to checking out the rest when I'm not shamefully behind on my own anymore!

Thanks for writing!

Author's Response:

Ohaaaaii there! Sweet of you to come check mine out. :) I am about to be shamefully behind on this one. I'm dealing with some srs writer's block on this one right now, unfortch. Moral of the story? If you read, take your time, haha.

Thanks for reading and reviewing. You know how important it can be for the motivational process! :)

I just discovered this story in the past couple of days.   I am glad Bella is seeing a therapist.    However - since she is suffering from panic attacks, I think she should also be seriously considering medication to assist.  I do have panic/anxiety attacks as well as depression - chemical imbalance.  What I take would not necessarily work for Bella and vice versa.   I am on a combination of prozac and wellbutrin.   They work quite well on me.   I do know a couple of people who were put on prozac and didn't like the way they felt while on it - one said while she was going over a local bridge that she kept thinking about what it would be like to drive the car over the bridge just out of curiousity.   She went back to her doctor who changed the prescription to something else and she felt much more normal.   Have you ever seen any of Naomi Judd's interviews regarding panic/anxiety attacks which she does suffer from.   See if you can find any on the net - I found listening to her helped me in dealing with my problem.   At least Bella has the support system and friends and relatives recognizing she needs help.  Its harder when you have family whose immediate reaction is that its something one should deal with on their own - like its shameful to admit the problem exists and that you do need the meds.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for your thoughts. I'm gonna PM you a little bit later today so we can talk about this a little more. I had a long thought process on how to deal with this, since it's such a sensitive and important part of a lot of people's recovery, so I'd like to get more of your perspective on whether or not my process makes sense or was thorough enough.

I agree about Bella's support system. I think she was afraid each time she told someone about therapy that she would get shamed. I think that's why she told the people she did--Billy, because she knew he's close enough to Charlie that he wouldn't shame her, and Jessica because I think Bella's just a little bit masochistic, haha. Also, if Jess was a pain about it, she could chalk it up to her being a "mean girl." But really, Bella just knew that Jessica is the kind of friend who likes to get something in return, feel like she's important, ya know?

Anyhoo, thank you for reading and leaving a review. Look for a PM from me later! Thanks!

It's great! I can't wait for the next chapter! I hope it comes soon! :)

Author's Response:

Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying the story! I haven't started the next chapter yet, but I have a reason--I'm working on an outtake to post! It will be called "Every Part of You," and it will be set one year in the future. I have to post it as a separate story because it's going to be rated M (er... NC-17 here on Twi'd) because it will include Bella and Jacob's first time sleeping together. I haven't decided if I'll post an edited T version as a chapter of this story; I guess it will depend on whether I have any younger readers who are interested in reading the plot of it without the graphic parts.

After that, it's been taking me about 1-2 weeks to write a chapter because of motivation problems. I'm hoping it will pass, because when I'm motivated, a chapter takes about 4 days to complete. Send motivate-y vibes my way!

Thanks for taking the time to leave me a review, dear! It's greatly appreciated!

Great chapter. I love seeing Bella and Jacob help each other.

Author's Response:

Thanks! This was one thing that I never really got from canon--a sense that their relationship had and give-and-take. I think this structure is much healthier. Not to mention more worthwhile for both of them.

Thank you for reading and reviewing again! :)

Reviewer: edc_robp (Signed) · Date: March 01, 2010 11:35 PM · On: She Confronts Him

i wish that bella wouldn't hear edward's voice.  i wish she'd just let him go.  it almost seems like now she's living in a world without anything supernatural (for a few precious weeks, anyway!) and maybe she could get her head straight if she wouldn't hear him.  unfortunately, jake's going to sort out this mess with his peeps, only to pass his mess onto bella again - and then bella's one good relationship will be all messed up again...

oh, woe is me!  (but in the best way, of course! :-))

Author's Response:

Me, too. Unfortch, I think canon pretty much sums up the fact that she is dead set against letting him go. It's a process. ;) I think, though, being willing to see him as a flawed being is a little bit of movement for her. Ironically, I think that hearing his voice will eventually be something that helps her get her head straight, if that makes any sense at all at this point. If it doesn't, it should soon. :)

You're so dramatic, and I love it. Thanks again for always leaving such thoughful reviews, dear. Much love. :D

Good chapter, I'm enjoying watching Bella grow.

Reviewer: lavander (Signed) · Date: March 01, 2010 02:55 PM · On: She Confronts Him

so, i wrote the longest review of mt life a minute ago and clicked submit and apparently my session had timed out!!!!!!! i didn't want to retype everything but i thought i should still tell you that i like this story and that this last chapter left me very curious to see what happens in the coming updates. maybe some day i'll post all the questions that this chapter brought up if they aren't already answered. but keep up the good work!

Author's Response:

Oh, boo. Don't you hate technology? Well, it's the thought that counts. I'm excited that my story would have gotten your longest review ever! Feel free to ask any questions you'd like, though if they're spoiler-ish, I'll probably respond in a PM--personally, I hate being spoiled against my will, so I like to make sure that anyone who might be reading these doesn't see something they don't want to yet. Make sense? But I'll answer just about anything. Or at least give helpful hints or food for thought.

Thanks for taking the time to leave me a review, dear! Feedback is so crucial. Both to writing content and motivation, if you know what I mean! Thanks!

I think that was a great chapter. I could really visualize what Bella's situation. I can't wait to see what Jake has to add to her positive list.

Author's Response:

Thanks, tracish! I'm glad that everything I wrote translated for you so well! Jake will have lots to add! I think, between the two of them, the list will be something fun they share. I'm working on an outtake set a year in the future (originally submitted as part of the Haiti compilation) where you'll get to see a bit of this. I'll post it here as soon as I get it tweaked and perfect. :)

Thanks for your feedback!

reality check - thank you dr. kris!

btw, i love bella's humor and wit.  i think you've given her more personality, and for the better.

you're a great writer!  i look forward to your updates and to see where you're taking us readers next!

Author's Response:

Thanks, dear! I'm so happy you're still enjoying the story. I worry that people might get bored. Like, "OMGs wherez teh action???" It's a mental block. :) So thanks for sticking around! And for thinking Bella is witty--sometimes I write things I think are funny and I have no idea how my humor translates, hehe.

Appreciate the feedback!

Reviewer: edc_robp (Signed) · Date: February 24, 2010 09:59 AM · On: She Befriends Him

wow, you so deserve the nomination!  this story is just so great!

i didn't really love dr. kris until this chapter.  i think i was taking bella's side, even though i wasn't even on bella's side!  BUT, dr. kris said some great things this chapter and bella's character is moving forward, putting pieces back together.  dr. kris and bella aren't nearly the team that jake and bella are in this story.  i love your jake character.  he's still all "sure, sure," and 16 but he's even sunnier and nicer in this story than the real new moon.

GREAT, GREAT, GREAT!  :-)

Author's Response:

Thank you muchly, e_r! I have to say, I think Dr. Kris is one of my least-developed characters so far. I'm trying to rectify that. I have plans for her character, but there are pieces I can't introduce until they make sense for the story, ya know? I think you're right about them not being a "team"; I think I want Kris to be more like... a resource? She and Bella aren't doing this together, really, Bella's doing it herself using the knowledge and techniques that Kris teaches her. Make sense? I think some of this will become clearer in chapter 11 (teaser: it's titled "She Confronts Him") especially.

I love your thoughts on how Jake is different. He is, if only because Bella is different. Remember that conversation they had a few chapters ago? Sure, she was a little nebulous, but Jake understood what she was saying when she said, "It's like I'm flirting when I don't mean to," ya know? She's set some boundaries, so he knows there's a line. He'll push it now and again, sure, but it's there. In canon, I really felt like the problem was that Bella never communicated any boundaries to Jake, so he just acted as he pleased, and she let him.

Thanks so much for letting me know what you liked and didn't like along the way, dear. I appreciate the feedback! :D

I just found your story and I’ve finished reading all the chapters. I really like your story. Going through therapy with Bella is really interesting. I think you’ve captured her really well. I like the friendship starting with Jacob. I’m looking forward to more chapters!

Your writing style is very easy to read and engaging.

Dixie

Author's Response:

Hey there! Happy to have you along! I'm pleased you're enjoying what I've got posted so far. I have 2 more, and then I'm all caught up; there will be about 25 chapters in total when it's all said and done. :)

Thanks for reading and reviewing! The feedback is tremendously helpful!

really good.

Author's Response:

Thanks! I've been wondering if there's like, a "wendeline's scale of awesomeness" that corresponds to your reviews. Like, "nice" means one star, "really good" means two stars, "awesome" means three stars, etc. Or do you just fly by the seat of your pants when ya review?

I love waiting to see which you choose when I post each chapter! :D Thanks for leaving me your thoughts, W!
