I always thought Bella needed someone with less angst, so imagine Edward had fallen for Rose and she still changed Emmett because she cared for him in a more mothernly way. After putting everyone's needs before her, Bella finally gets a dose of Emmett and she can't resist. But just because Emmett is more carefree doesn't mean that Bella and he will have a perfect romance.

A Midnight Sun like story with an AU mythological Bella. Loosely follows Twilight only in this story Bella is the mystery. I have always wondered how long it would have taken Edward to figure our that he was falling in love with Bella if Alice hadn't spelled it out for him. To some extent this story explores that theme as well.

Summary: AU. A powerful group of humans know of the existence of vampires and werewolves and strict rules are in place for the uneasy coexistence between the three kinds. Transforming humans without tacit permission is banned and all violators and victims are ordered destroyed. Bella was attacked when she was eight years old but miraculously survived. She returns to Forks during her junior year in high school and encounters the Olympic Coven. Against her will, she is drawn to Edward Cullen and into the dangerous world of shifting loyalties and deadly intrigue.

Excerpt from Chapter 1:

An imprint is the person upon whom the werewolf fixes, biologically.  It is a mystical connection as well as a biological one, but we believe it is mostly for the purpose of procreation.

Yes, having children.  Scary as it may be to even consider letting these guys with their games and strange sense of humor reproduce... It is the underlying purpose of the imprint.
